I think Sabo vs Akainu has a better shot.
From most likely to least likely:

1.Luffy vs Akainu - their clash is guaranteed to happen
2.Sabo vs Akainu - may or may not happen
3.Dragon vs Akainu - least likely, Sabo is from the same faction (so the rev vs Akainu angle works the same way) but has more points to his favour (new gen > old, Sabo carrying Ace's will literally and figuratively, Sabo's regret)

Yeah Dragon and Akainu seem knowing each other for long time, Akainu's hatred for dragon will be explained when he finally meets dragon as an enemy in the final war.

Sabo vs Akainu is an horrible matchup tbh.
I cant see ANYONE beating Akainu with a DF handicap like Mera-Magu. It's very disrespectful to Akainu's strength.

It's like Sabo is wearing Kairoseki and fighting Akainu. Regardless of the narratives at play.

It can happen. If happen I highly doubt it would be benefitial for any of the characters portrayal.

No Admiral has better portrayal than any Yonko but Teach.

Dragon has no strength portrayal at all.

Oda should fix this first. At least give Dragon some Admiral level portrayal.
