I took inspiration from the inca way of creating new branches of nobility.

Indeed infact I consider Imu him self was a D and he or his ancestor was the brother of Joy boy and they fought for the control of the kingdom. Maybe I should rewrite that theory

What if there was 9 family

Joy Boy family and Imu family were the 2 biggest ... imu family sided with outside kingdoms and took down the rest of D Clan branches.
He's keeping Joy Boy's hat as memento coz they used to be friends who built the kingdom (Madara and Hashirama friendship )

It could be I thought at a power struggle where a king died with out heirs so civil war started between the branches, Joy boy won for a bit but the ancient kingdom was in crumbles so the imu family allied with the smaller vassal kingdoms and tooked the power by attacking again, and that hat is an war trophy.

Nope i think its likely a royal name that is hidden or supressed by WG.


Its probably name of the Ancient kingdom as well.

Devil, dawn are very simple term oda is literature guy he would give unique names for such surname.

Dawn is very simple term . Like i dont think oda would casually add something like that.

I do think dawn, devil are all connected to D family.

Oda wouldnt casually add it knowing the name will be a spoiler plot potential that will connect to ancient kingdoms name and laugh tale.

Also i might not rule out your idea i think pedro saying "dawn" has a plot connection.

Overall i am not ruling out your idea as well lets see.
