I canโ€™t comment on SG
I only watched the first 6 episodes and then dropped the series, it was too boring

Between the 3
Monster is easily number 1

The positives
the story was better it had more excitement more mystery very interesting plot
The main protagonist and antagonist are absolutely brilliant
Dr.tenma went through amazing development, was very sympathetic you canโ€™t help but root for him
Johan is arguably the greatest villain in anime ever
Heโ€™s such a great character absolutely terrifying even though he looked so angelic
The side characters were all very well written and add a lot to the plot
The animation and art were great and very unique

The negatives
the only negative thing I would say about monster is there is a little problem with the pace , at some point it was a little too slow

overall 9,9/10

Second I would put death note

The positives
Light was an amazing main character and very different he was crazy he was fun he very charismatic, absolutely love light and was rooting for him since the beginning

The whole storyline was great and again very unique
The animation and art was amazing
The characters designs was amazing
The soundtrack was amazing
The direction and the cinematography was amazing

The negatives
The plot was not consistent
The pace was bad at times
The first 10 episodes and episodes 23 24 25 and the last 2 were great but the rest was average and very very boring
I thought the characters were very boring and one dimensional even L was very one dimensional
I absolutely hate the ending its was stupid and made no sense whatsoever

Overall 6/10

Third is CG

the positives
Lulueouch is great main character one of my favorite, he is such a great character he completely overshadowed everyone, his character is the reason why everyone should give CG a chance
His power was also great

love the clan art very unique
Love the vibrant colors
Love the characters designs

love love love the ending

the negatives
Hated the mecha aspect
Hated all the other characters they were weak unlikable and just meh they lacked depth

didnโ€™t care that much for the plot
The pace was annoying slow sometimes

overall 5/10

Anyone who hasn't seen Monster should definitely do so ASAP.

It's a masterpiece. The only minor issue I had was that pacing was a bit slow at times. Everything else is amazing. And Johan is a GOAT character and villain.

I mean imho, I don't think Monster is too slow paced, HOWEVER it is undoubtably a slow burner, it's a series that will have you will be greatly rewarded for investing the time in it.

Kinda sad how the trend is that only a select few have read/ watched Monster though

Iโ€™ve watched Death Note, read Monster, and watched the first season of Code Geass. I havenโ€™t seen Steins:Gate

I thought Monster and Code Geass were really disappointing personally, so Iโ€™m voting for Death Note.

Code geass part 2 was overall weaker : the geass powers became too much, Charles was amazing and yet his plot line and character was wasted hard same for Marianne, the Mechas became more and more bullshit, Lelouch ยซ losing ยป his memory and Relo wasnโ€™t that great story wise, the Knight of the rounds werenโ€™t that interesting (except Gino โค๏ธ)

There were good parts of course but the second part was weaker

It's been years since I last watched Monster tbh but I do remember it being a bit slow at times, nothing too big of a problem tho.

This I agree with.

Couldn't read it yet. :josad:

Wasn't able to find decent prints online so I'll probably order the volumes later. Or do you know a good source online?

Read Pluto by the same author tho. It was great.
Honestly I'd recommend the anime if you have the time. All the online scans are bad lol.
