I think that that works with the assumption that God does not help us as much as is possible without overstepping our free will,
I had a pretty harsh childhood and I am glad that I went through it because without that a lot of great things may not have happened and maybe many more that will happen wouldn't have happened if I didn't go through that,
I can't tell you everything and I don't have all the answers, but it's a possibility so I think it is worth considering,

I'm sorry, but "god" has no excuses. Stayin neutral in front of oppression is a choice, the choice to accept it as acceptable. Either it exists, it's not a god and there should be a trial either it doesn't and.. well there is no problem.

Well... Natural disasters are a thing....
Because it is a physical impossibility.
For Free Will - as we usually define it - to exist, our "conscious will" would need to precedes the electrical interactions within our brain that create our consciousness. But we know those interactions come before our consciousness.
Therefore the notion of Free Will is a paradox. The only way for Free Will to exist would be if our conscious will was created ex-nihilo before any connection that create consciousness.
But as I explained, consciousness is created by those interactions and not the opposite. In other words, Free will as in our "conscious will" is a physical impossibility.
Our will and our choices are all the products of material conditions:
- Our brain composition
- Our genetical material
- Our physical environment
- Our sociology
- Our material condition in society

Sometimes I wonder if God really exists. I still pray and what not, but tbh I feel like a big reason for it is that I do it because it makes me feel good.

It is said that this is when God decides who lives and dies the coming year.
The past high holidays was especially tough because my friend committed suicide the week before.
I remember when I was at that service, I just couldn’t shake the thought that God was responsible for my friend’s death. That he either was indifferent or somehow fated it to happen.
I talked to some rabbis and they assured me that wasn’t the case, but idk.
