This is definitely on Oda. You can feel he tried to make Kizaru look cool. I have been saying for months it's clear he also tried to have Lucci look good despite the difference in power.
But the feeling ultimately is still that one got humiliated like a little child and the other was one-tapped. Not cool.

That’s just putting on an act. Were you disappointed when the Scabbards hit Kaido with Paradise Totsuka and he was down for a bit?
The disappointment only works if you pretend to believe that Kizaru isn’t getting up…or that a regular laser beam is the best attack he’s got. Somehow, no one seems to have had any such problems in the middle of any other fight…

It's not comparable to Kaido because this is not an act. He'll get up once he gathers back his strength, but he needs to gather it back. Saying this is the middle of the fight is like saying Luffy vs Lucci never ended.
It's possible that they fight again when he gets up though, but now there's Saturn taking an active role as the big bad and main menace of the arc, which complicates things.

The “that’s just putting on an act” line was for those trying to pretend like this is something out of the ordinary, not Kizaru’s statement. Anyone who isn’t trolling or beyond saving knows that Kizaru obviously hasn’t shown his best, neither was he knocked out. He’s just momentarily knocked down just as happened with several other characters that weren’t treated the same way by those trying to claim “one shot” or such.
I’m sure I don’t need to point out the differences between Lucci & Kizaru’s cases either.
Saturn is just the excuse used by those trying to make those silly claims because they understand what it means for Luffy to need at least 2 rounds to take out Kizaru for good.

If Luffy could ''one tap'', he would have done it...usopp was practically dead if Kizaru wanted to.
The only possible ''cope'' is that Luffy can sense people's intention somehow (see his fb with Rayleigh) so maybe Luffy knew Kizaru was ''conflicted'' and could still ''be saved'' and wouldn't harm his friends somehow.

My admiral agenda will win for sure.
The problem was the previous management were a bunch of incompetent fools that only care about fights and powerscaling. However with my leadership and the well established new admiral agenda it will finally win!
The biggest issue was they were thinking they can win against MC. I set more realistic goals for Kizaru.

Hell Law not only damages a Yonko significantly more than Kizaru. But so far only one of those characters was portrayed almost killing a Yonko. An it ain’t the guy ur claiming can low diff
