Kaido killed Luffy and Oda had to retcon Luffy df to make him alive

There is no such thing as "undefeatable" in One Piece and I don't think of Luffy fighting said characters.

It wasn't fair tho. The fact that Oden left him a scar and PTSD for years proves that the fight itself could've gone a different route if not for Baba.

Oda is the author at the end of the day. He gives absurd statements to some Top Tiers which sometimes he can't back up.

Shanks is the worst possible matchup for Kaido considering how big of a deal Oden was to Kaido. Think of Shanks as Oden but stronger as fuck and a Top Tier.

Kaido stopped developing at some point. He wasn't as active as he used to be. He wasn't doing much after becoming a Yonko.

Wano wasn't fair to Kaido although that is irrelevant to the Shanks vs Kaido argument. Shanks is the worst matchup for Kaido considering what Oden did to Kaido and Shanks is fuck knows how many times stronger than Oden.

I have Shanks in a High diff if we are talking pure 1 vs 1, no interruptions and fakeouts.

Oden got a hit in on Dragon Kaido who cant guard in that form, in Human/Hybrid Kaido can guard and block, dunno why you think swordsmen are the worst matchup tbh but ok bro. Oden was important to Kaido because he could kill him if Kaido took the hits which he wont if he blocks/guards/dodges.


And no Shanks isnt many times stronger than Oden, you gotta be on some good drugs to think that.

I doubt Roger had the intent to kill a person who was proven to be interested in on Whitebeard's eyes just before friendly sparring. I can't imagine Roger killing Oden right there on the spot and then greet WB like a friend. That is not happening in any world.

Oden knew the difference in power between him and Roger/WB once he saw their clash. Kaido and Oden weren't Top Tiers 20 years ago. Mr Two Piece Reader.
