Chapter Discussion Did you like how the Robin and Saul Reunion was executed?

Was this done well?

Great execution but this scene shouldn’t exist in the first place, Saul should have remained dead. If this all just happened in Robin’s head or something then that will be great storytelling. Imagine this scene playing in her head as she finally reads all the poneglyphs, way more impact. I’d probably shed a tear at that.

Great Robin moment but Saul should be dead. This is just tear bait for Oda to keep OP emotionally invested, but it feels completely forced even when compared to a reunion like Momo and Hiyori and their granddaddy

Would’ve been much more impactful if Robin reunited with a random Ohara survivor who could share in their pain together. We saw Saul die and were led to believe for over 500 chapters he was dead with a tearful goodbye, dying with a smile like D clan, and with no hints of coming back

At first, it was normal, until Robin told him she lived, its when the magic happened.

I mean, at first it was an act, they were literally holding their emotions as adults, until Robin said the most important thing, she made it, all thanks tonhis words, we then see a little flashback of the meanimg behind those words, a small one.

Niqqa this man Saul “died” in a flashback along with the rest of Ohara, he gave his life to save her, Aokiji was showing no mercy and neither was Akainu, he was smiling just like Roger, Ace, everybody with a D in their name was

It was an emotional turning point for Robin, because Saul told her that she WILL find family eventually. Somewhere she can call home and have friends she can trust even after he dies

It is not about power level bs here. It is about narrative. Oda literally sold out just to grab readers with tearbait to fulfill some OP quota

At this point Ace might as well come back alive and have a tearful reunion with Goofy. It will provide the same emotional tearjerking moment and everybody will love it but Ace should have stayed dead cuz it was Goofy’s emotional turning point

No "Robin deserves this, she suffered a lot"

But that's the whole point of her flashback, it was for her to keep moving forward till she finds people who would love her and she did find them : strawhats.

Oda bringing back Saul nullifies and ruins her backstory. What's the point of all that if Saul is alive all along?

Like you said, let's bring back Ace too
Why does he need to say dead when Luffy didn't even change as a character.

Comparing Ace's death to Saul is beyond foul.

I didn't see Ace die. I just saw him fall asleep
Ace was literally shown dead lol.

You really must be stupid to say those scenarios are the same.

Saul was frozen. Just as Robin, which lived, just as Zoro, which lived, just as Garp or WB, which also lived.

The island was on fire, he was frozen...
