General & Others Did you skip Skypiea?

I didn't skip Skypiea but I watched it through one eye the first time (yeah, I binge-watched the anime first and just went to the manga after reaching the most recent episode). I was still a teen back then and I was eager to catch up to the most recent arc at the time, the overly-hyped Marineford Arc. I found it boring and uninteresting and wanted to get as soon as possible to the big fights.

Nowadays, it's one of my favorite arcs for sure. Probably the first and last adventure arc of One Piece, a lot of lore to think about, genuinely funny humour and some underrated characters along the way. A really nice arc overall.

I did on my first watch. That's just how people treated One Piece back in the day.
Watched it once, I remember enjoying the Noland flashback and Jaya, but the actual conflict with Enel's gang is just forgettable. (to me)

Yes and I understood everything after it (I watched a little bit of it later and hated it). I don’t see why people are so upset about skipping arcs, I think people should be allowed to watch OP however they see fit.

I usually skip it on the rereads after they get to the island. Never liked the experience in the first read and never liked it after. Enel just isn't the type of villain I like for an arc. Usually then continue it from the end where the party happens, and keep it moving. Thriller Bark and Punk Hazard are the other two arcs that, not really skip, but sorta speedread through. Both for different reasons, just not a fan of the setting for the PH, and thriller bark just isn't interesting to me. Oh yea and the Foxy parts of the little arc pre-Water 7.

Why don't you like Enel? He may not have a great backstory or anything but I still like him a lot. He wasn't just freakishly strong (for his time), but he was also very cunning and calculating. A lot like Crocodile and Doflamingo in a way.

He's just an annoying character to me.

Pre-TS Villains I like are Arlong/Lucci/Magellan/Kuro/Crocodile/ Smoker (if he gets counted as one).
