Diable Jambe can technically be considered a mode but what I'm claiming now goes beyond the point.

Neither is gear 2.
Gear 4 isn't an attack.
They all have multiple attacks in each mode.

A mode that turns Zoro into a god and makes him too powerful so Oda uses it only shortly so the opponents can survive.
It is so broken that Zoro should not have it. It is not fair to have access to god mode.

Well honestly as it currently stands asura is mostly an attack, but whether it's oda intention for it to be a mode or not we cannot truly tell.

A sudden and drastic change to physical appearance usually indicate a mode, but because of how rarely zoro uses it combine with its short duration prompt you to think to opposite.
Although i am not too certain of this, i think that oda intends for ashura to be a mode, but because of the same reason that ssj3 goku is rarely shown due to how time consuming and costly it is to draw so many details that ashura seems to be potrayed as an attack.

lol, G3 is a mode, a mod that used to have a heavy side effect. STYLE is not an attack, it is a mode.
He already used it for one attack, running and then another attack.
It is not used for longer simply because it is too overpowered.
No opponent aside from Kaido has remained standing for long after Asura hit them.

So you think its like Gear 3? Well....... when you put it that way I guess it makes sense. Zoro doesn't really sustain it. So then what would we call it? Not a Mode, Not a form, but a???????

Asura is an ability which is too overpowered to be used freely, which is why it is always used temporarily as a last resort move. Asura has never been bested and likely never will, therefore Zoro is not allowed to use it for long enough to defeat someone like Kaido.

Current Asura is casually top tier. The only person who will probably be shown to hold back Asura is Mihawk when both swordsmen can showcase all their abilities without any restrictions.

Luffy used Gear 4th KKG and he is out no excuse it isn't a mode

Do you consider, 1 sword style a mode? how about 2 sword? three sword? If yes, then Asura is a mode.

Does Zoro have to do anything besides just use 1 sword? 2 swords?
To use Ashura he's gotta do something extra. Hence It's a mode of some sort with spirit or Haki possibly involved. Or drawing out a sword power. That would actually be interesting. Every sword would be different.

It is a mode, but a mode for a single attack, as it has happened every time Zoro has used it. If it were a free mode Oda would use it together with Luffy's Boundman and Kid's Punk Rotten for example

But of course, fanboys will ignore the facts of the manga to try to raise Zoro's stick in the sky, even if it doesn't make any sense.
