That would make all the subplot from past few chapters pointless

If they stop Marco, then it will be for a brief period of time until someone comes and smacks king/queen to open a path for Marco to take Zoro there. Or maybe for a 1ch or 2 at best just soo Luffy can reach the roof a few seconds before Zoro, soo Luffy have time to make a small speech or something about kicking their asses.

No they probably all go to the roof including King and Queen.
Zoro may help Luffy momentarily against Kaido, but his main fight is probably a 2vs2 with Sanji against King and Queen.
Marco needs to help stall Big Mom, he can't be wasted against King (which would be a no stakes fight really as Marco is portrayed higher already and has a fruit that makes damaging him troublesome and time consuming unless you are vastly superior like Garp/Big Mom).

Queen is not going to go on top of the dome, he'll keep control on the live floor imo (Drake being his opponent)
The King-Marco situation is really unpredictible, cause it's an aerial clash but my guts tell me that King will at some point go to the roof to fight in the sky at his full potential

It's not that Zoro can't reach the top by himself Ndule. He is a low top tier right now, of course you don't feel like it. But I don't see why he could not, Marco is helping him to make things faster and that's it. I seriously doubt Oda would portray someone like him not climbing floors by himself.

Marco would succeed bypassing both king and queen. At the last moment king would land a hit on Marco but Marco successfully send zoro flying away from king and hold him. Meanwhile drake would stop and challenge queen with his Zoan form.
