The point is, he's going to have another boost, as COA + Not Awakened Clear-Clear is just underwhelming.

With Luffy's, Roger's and Whitebeard's strongest commanders who Shiryu parallels having CoC, Shiryu is supposed not to have it? I think he definitely will.

People forget that it was Sengoku's plan to trick Squardo to stab Whitebeard.

Yet Bumgoku still got CoC.

Both Sengoku and Shiryu are the mastermind behind Whitebeard and Garp's stabbing.
Except Sengoku was just not man enough to execute the plan himself, while Shiryu did.

Folks are way too obsessed with CoC.
Characters can still be very strong without it 💀 and I expect that to be the case with Shiryu and all the other Blackbeard Pirates barring Kuzan potentially. DFs are the blackbeard Pirates ting so makes no sense for Haki to take precedence over that. If anything we should be getting more exposition on Devil Fruits during their battle against the SHs (i.e. hidden secrets to bring out the max potential of a DF etc.)

If Shiryu is stacked with two DFs that are both hax and awakened that will be more than enough to make him a force to be reckoned with imo.

Oda didn’t give Shiryu such DF only for Zoro to easily spot him with CoO. He will definitely will make huge use of it.

Luffy's last major opponent before Kaido was Katakuri. Both CoC users but the overall gap was wide. The issue the CoC coating didn't exist back in WCI, because even BM never showed it. Now every character with CoC will insta use "ACoC". If Shiryu has it, it might make the fight too similar to the Mihawk one tbh.

It's 50/50 on this tbh.

Not saying he won’t be a challenge, but in no way it will be about strength, Haki or skill. He is gonna be a challenge and a tough opponent due to trickery. An improved version of Pica.

Btw if we consider Zoro fighting Nosjuro and Fuji as well as Mihwak then Shiryo will 4th biggest fight or third if we decide to exclude Fuji for example.

It's a strong possibility. BB is one of the two majors antagonists of the series, Shiryu is his number 2 and one of the last opponents Zoro is gonna beat, so his ceiling is very high. Him having CoC would make sense, although it's not a necessity.
