Does Kizaru have anything left to prove after this?
Will Fujitora go down swinging with the gov?
Will the admirals even exist when the marines turn on the WG? or you think marines will be villains straight through?
I'm not counting ex admirals like Sakazuki and Kuzan.
Funny you agree with that comment and yet cannot see the same logic with Akainu and the other Admirals.
Both Kizaru and Saturn are sharing an arc representing their respective groups, and we know their leaders are very clearly other arc antagonists, just like Doflamingo, Crocodile and Kaido/BM did after Vergo/Caesar, Mr. 3, Jack and Katakuri did.
Lol, I love this revisionist bullshit now after the fact. Basically nobody agreed with me that Vegapunk would get his own arc after Wano.
But fine, if thats an easy guess, you can do the same thing for Akainu after Marineford, Dressrosa and Wano with his respecrive subordinates. He quite literally says this in 1054, the fuck do you think it means? Nothing? Lmao.
? Kizaru is his subordinate, not peer. He WAS his peer Pre TS. That is not the case in post. They are not equal at all. Not even Oda thinks they are equal, considering he references him as the strongest Marine in his SBS.
Please dont make me reference chapter 650 again, where Oda essentially equates Blackbeard and Akainu as the 2 big problems Luffy needs to deal with post TS....the chapter is named after them
The difference between Akainu & Kizaru is the difference between a Marco & Jozu.
Akainu took 10 days to beat another peer of his.
The other examples i quoted are all not even comparable, Crocodile trashes Mr. 3, Doffy trashes Vergo, Kaidou trashes Doffy & Imu trashes Saturn. Mr. 3 was afraid of Croc, Doffy was afraid of Kaidou, Vergo/Saturn literally knelt along with their peers before Doffy/Imu.
Its a question of Portrayal, Akainu has never been portrayed to be that much superior in rank/power to warrant this progression.

It doesnt matter how long Akainu took to defeat Aokiji. We all know its just typical hype scaling nonsense. Big Mom and Kaido fought for a day and didnt damage each other, yet within 2 minutes of their fight in Onigashima, Luffy was hurting Kaido.
Are we really doing this right now lol? In what universe do you think that Oda isnt saving Akainu as a fight for Luffy? He's the leader of the Marines, the person who killed Ace and scarred/maimed Luffy.
Its obvious the Admirals are closer to the FA vs a YC to a Yonko, that still doesnt change the fact that Akainu is above other Marines in this story and is set up as an antagonist against Luffy.

He’s absolutely a main antagonist and I think he will be the main antagonist in Elbaf; but I mean power wise he’s not going to be trashing the other admirals.

Post automatically merged:
One power up against Sakazuki (Will of D bullshit) perfect that power up against Blackbeard
I mean yeah thats understandable. The thing that people argue up and down over is this idea that Admirals cant be stronger than any YC but weaker than a Yonko. I mean we essentially see comparators like this in Marineford:
- Kizaru/Aokiji "defeat" Marco and Joz (albeit yes, they were distracted). Marco is still active after since he was only handcuffed.
- Akainu matches WB but then gets jumped on after killing Ace. However he doesnt lose since he still was active after that fight.
I think its very clear that Akainu is relative to Blackbeard/Shanks in the least. Some exceptions to this are probably Shiryu (considered BBs number 2 even after Kuzan joins) and Beckman in some fashion.
But yes I agree with the take that Akainu is central to Elbaf after the events of Egghead. Imo thats where it makes sense for the Marines (as it currently exists) to fall.
Edit: This is why (if you ignore powerscaling rhetoric) it makes sense that Akainu goes down next in the least because:
- Mr 3 lead to Crocodile 2 arcs later
- Caesar/Vergo lead to Doflamingo the following arc
- Jack and Katakuri lead to Kaido/Big Mom the following arc respectively.
Im not 100% sure Saturn goes down this arc (i.e. he could be a taster for endgame events), but if Kizaru does, then it ostensibly makes sense that Akainu and the other Admirals are focused on next or at least very soon.
Imo, either a big war is coming between all Yonko and Marines or the Marines will have their own separate conflict first. Something has to give here.
Personally i would love if the gorosei start falling, in my own headcannon saturn dies here but ultimately succeeds in getting the seraphim to go to maryjoa. After this arc each gorosei will fall and by the end imu will replace them and have all 7 seraphim on his side as the ultimate beings who serve god in there adult form ofcourse. Also maybe a few seraphim fall and its only 5 of them left to serve him as well.
I am putting all my bets in on nasujuro being involved with wano hopefully he goes there and makes us go back to defend it.
