It's a great fight, overwhelming at first but then everything slides into place.
My only discontent is that first Scarlet Aonia. Maybe it's just me but that shit felt like an instant startup at 2nd phase, no time to do anything.

Iirc Somber Stones are used with Special Weapons/Built in Ashes of War and they go up to +10 While the regular Stones go to +25.

yeah but the regular weapons are much stronger and better with the Ashes.... the special weapons don't use Ashes and most of them are slow or lower damage points than regular weapons.... I liked the bloody katana and just upgraded it fully but then I saw its damage point is much lower than my normal weapon which I had upgraded ... if that's the case then why would I use them:kayneshrug: (Malenia's sword is good though, except with Ashes of war, the regulars weapons are still better)

IDK about that. It's probably something to do with the Scaling.
Some of the Weapons have Great Built-in Ashes. Just like Malenia's.
What Bloody Katana? There are several... Or are you talking about Rivers of Blood?

yes rivers of blood, the damage point is very low

and Malenia's sword is good because its fast too.... I don't know how people are using those heavy weapons

Rivers of Blood is the weapon that basically carries people. So IDk what your doing.
Of course that's just what I've heard, it's great. But I missed my chance to get it. Killed the Fire Giant before even seeing Okina at that church.

yes I have seen people using it, I don't know why but the attack power is much lower than my normal weapon.... my normal weapon Ash can do 1200+ damage with 10FP consumption, and the weapon itself does around 550 damage .... while rivers of blood does around 450 damage and the FP consumption for special attack is also much higher

what are your stats, what's the scaling on the two weapons and Ashes as well.

I tried the other Ashes I got but none of them are as strong as Lightning, specially when you add Lightning Talisman on it.... I probably I stronger than most of Mages with Dex-Strength built only .... I don't think there are many spells that do 1200+ ... but yeah the lightning damage does differ depending on enemy... sometimes the damage is 600+

Probably resistant to it. Crystalians I'm looking at you.

Well if you're using a specific Talismen with one thing and not the other, there's going to be a difference too.

bloodblade dance is great. Blasphemous blade is seriously top tier, Deals fire damage which stuns/staggers 90% of enemies, you get a decent amount of health back from each hit and its weapon skill has insane range and damage.
