Elden Ring

Elder Lee Hung

Conqueror of the Stars
Again, I feel like the “badness” of this fight is being blown way of proportion (as are most of the endgame fights). This feels the same to as when people were calling Radahn worse than the Bed of Chaos. No boss in Elden Ring is worse than the Bed of Chaos. It’s going to take more than having unbalanced mechanics or ganks to be that bad lmao
Who the fuck would argue Radahn is worse than BOC? Lol, Radahn is one of the better Elden Ring bosses, and I fought him pre-nerf.

And @Fleet Admiral Lee Hung if we’re allowed to bring up YouTubers who support our takes I know that Demodcracy who made this video:
This is all subjective of course, but I feel like I see a larger discrepancy on opinions of Maliketh than I do Godfrey for example. Bosses like Godfrey, Rykard, Margot, I see almost nothing but praise and minor nitpicks.

Maliketh though, I see a lot of praise but I also see a lot of people insisting that he is awful, I myself obviously agreeing with the latter.

Most people who hate Maliketh fought him with slow weapons, and most people who love him fought him with fast weapons. I’ve gotten him with both and I think the buff to strength weapon speed in the last patch will mitigate that.

Also if you’re curious, there was a massive Reddit survey with statistics to see what the community’s boss ranking was and this was the result:

Believe it or not, I actually think I see more hate towards Godfrey and Morgott in the rune level 1 community than I do for Maliketh.

Yikes. Fuck that list lmfao. Radahn being that high is the only thing there I’d agree with.
Also time for probably my hottest take.

I actually.
Like.
Malenia.

Yes, her flurry move is overtuned. Yes, healing through a 100% damage shield is ridiculous.

BUT… I actually did enjoy being challenged to an insane degree, and since she’s optional you have to actually go out of your way to fight her. And I think it’s okay for optional content to be crazier.

She’s kinda like a guilty pleasure boss for me lol.

The boss I think is actually the best from like an objective quality standpoint though is Mohg, Lord of Blood. Lemme know when you fight him.

with spirits/mimic tear you can beat bosses but when its not allowed thats when it gets crazy, if anybody wants challenge then they would fight bosses without Spirits
Clergyman is hard because there is no spirit, Alecto was hard because there was no spirit to help
it was just impossible for me to beat Alecto when I had heavy gears, I had to lower it to mid weight after maybe 10-15 or more tries and then study her attacks and slowly I was able to beat her .... clergyman is too tough for low level players I think, it needs lot of studying as well... so again they are hard cause you are on your own otherwise they would be easy-mid diff

Malenia > Radahn
In everything. Story, lore, looks, fight.
Mechanics etc.

Mohg was easy, but maybe that's cuz of Tiche plus my bleed etc build.

Fuck Radagon/Elden Beast though, at least for coming into it.

@Fleet Admiral Lee Hung and I don’t use ashes or summons we’re veterans.

Also weird flex I’ve gotten my normal Malenia dodge down to where I can always survive at point blank but I still can figure out the first flurry without a shield.

I’m tryna get the strat down before I try her at RL1 but it so hard to get behind her without the bloodhound step.

Malenia's waterfowl, dodge into her/forward.
It doesn’t work for the first flurry. I’ve beaten her a bunch of times using a shield, running away, or even just face tanking the first one but for RL1 I’m gonna have to do it flawlessly with normal dodges.

I’m tryna do this strat but getting behind her consistently is stupid hard.

I've done it though. Least as far as I can remember.

don't use Ashes ? if you are using Special weapons you are automatically using special Ashes, and are you that kind of veteran on PC or on consoles ? because in PC you can't parry, you can't have shortcut for potions, you can't block with weapons ... at least I couldnt figure out these things on pc, who knows how many other things were there that I wasn't able to perform on pc

My bad, I thought you meant spirit ashes not ashes of war.

You can definitely survive the flurries that way, but the problem is I have to be able to take no damage.

Fuck me, this RL1 attempt might be one of the hardest attempts I ever do.

how do you fight the several handed enemy which can disappear and spit poison ? the most irritating creature in Elden ring, killed me so many times specially in Hligtree where there is 5 of them one after the other

They’re weak to healing items. Healing them hurts them.

You can throw down a warming stone to injure them and create a safe zone.

For the first hour or so, I had Malenia in low S Tier. After I realized how much luck was involved in beating her, she moved down to high C/low B. There would be attempts where I would get her to less than 50% health on phase 2 without taking a single hit, only to have her then kill me in less than one second before I had a chance to realize the mistake I had made.

When I realized that the main reason she took me 100+ attempts to beat is that I was having bad RNG on her broken move set, I lost all interest in her as a boss. There are aspects of her that I enjoy but I’m happy to dismiss her as being mostly bullshit.

Definitely the hardest Fromsoft boss I’ve fought though.

Have you fought Mohg or Hora Loux?

things like that can happen ? I never used warming stones and never created items except a few bolt and strengthening item which I then never used :shame:

I tried beating elden ring without taking help from the maiden, I was carrying more than 2.5M rune with me but when I reached the capital progressing further seemed impossible as the door will be blocked, has anyone been able to go inside without talking to maiden and accessing roundtable ?:kriwhat:

Not yet. Mohg is my next target. Lol

108 hours in this game and I still haven’t beat the fucking thing lol.
A few things with Mohg if you didn’t fight the version in the sewers.

1) his attacks spread AOE blood flame on the floor, it’s not super hard to deal with but it’s there

2) in his phase transition he’ll steal 3 of your flasks (by damaging you) to heal himself. There’s a crystal tear for the wondrous task that stops it from stealing your flasks.

I like the fight a lot because of the presentation and IMO the slow but consistent delays actually have a good rhythm to them.

there is an item as well that binds Mohg, I never used it but description says it, and its reusable :kayneshrug:
