This mad man ranked ALL of the bosses in Elden Ring including the minibosses.
He has Maliketh and Malenia higher than I would but his top 4 are super solid.
This ranking is actually pretty good imo @Plex@Van @Jaguark10 @Sentinel@Fleet Admiral Lee Hung

Malekith is his #6 and IMO his argument is pretty good at 22:40
He basically gave the "but what if you attack Beast Clergyman's hip tho" argument that I gave

Also @Fleet Admiral Lee Hung 23:30 basically proves my argument that Malekith is all positioning. Apparently he does different attacks depending how you move relative to him.
I agree on Malekith but there are lots of valid criticisms.
Malenia is overturned IMO. She's like a guilty pleasure fight for me but her difficulty is wayyyy too artificial imo.

Maybe now that they buffed chadswords, we’ll see. He was atrocious for me, I’m telling you, I’ve never faced a less enjoyable boss lol.
I think lorewise, Maliketh is A/S tier. The game really massively builds him up from the Black Blade Kindred bosses to Maliketh defeating the Godskin faction, I was really excited to see this legendary black blade.
Visually, A/S tier. Phase 2’s moves are very awesome and the character itself was cool.
Mechanically I’ve said my piece. Like I said maybe the Chadsword buffs will fix him for me.

I agree that fighting him with big weapons sucks and that he's not well tuned for it.
But I personally think that's a build balancing issue more than an issue with the boss.
Kind of like how Rennala is immune to sorceries and the final boss is immune to arcane and faith.
There are katanas that primarily scale with strength like the meteorite one you can use too but I commend you for being an absolute chad and refusing to change your loadout.

I agree, the game still has some balancing to go through before it’s still in an optimal state. Imo DS3 still overall has the best From bosses. Or maybe Sekiro.
Malenia for the record was actually not bad with the Starscourge blades. She sucked mainly for waterfowl dance but for the most part she was actually pretty vulnerable to them I found. At first I was using the Ruins Greatsword against her but I swapped it since the Starscourge swords do such heavy damage.

Yeah, the balance in Elden Ring is a complete mess. They definitely went a little too hard on the open world at the expense of tight and well-tuned enemy design.
I agree with you btw that Elden Ring is probably the worst From game other than Demon's Souls and DS2. It's still good but it's the worst of the good From games.

I think with balancing it has potential to be the best, time will tell. The sheer scale of the game combined with the level of quality is unrivaled imo. Even with the balancing troubles, the balance they struck between size and depth is something I believe the gaming industry has never seen before.

I mostly agree. Balancing probably will improve, but IMO fair but still challenging difficulty is the most important thing so I have to knock it a bit.
Yes dude. Fucking yes. This for me is the first (and really the only) S Tier boss I’ve faced in Elden Ring. I loved everything about this boss, from the extremely vague buildup, to the revelation that he has kidnapped Miquella, to the mechanics, the visuals and animations…bro. This shit is top tier.

I must say though, what I really love about Mohg and his place in the story, is that he truly feels like the hidden underbelly of the Elden Ring world. If you aren’t specifically looking for him, there’s a chance you may never find him, and even if you are searching the world for him (without using outside sources) you may never reach him as he is buried within several hidden paths and his entire cult lies deep below the land.
Even Gideon doesn’t even seem to know his name, and the NPCs that possess knowledge of him are almost nonexistent. He felt like some freaky cult leader with a following deep below the Earth, except he actually kidnapped Miquella and is the Chosen Messiah of an Outer God, so you know he’s not just some psycho but also someone very powerful.
Yeah, Mohg restored my hope in this game’s end game lol. If Malenia, Maliketh, and Fire Giant were of this level of quality…bruh.

Mohg’s fight is good because while he’s aggressive like most of Elden Ring’s bosses his attack speed is actually well matched for the player’s, and even though his attacks are delayed they’re good delays because 1) the timing is consistent and 2) the delays feel natural because his weapon inuitively looks slow and heavy.
I also personally really like his phase transition, since I feel like the player should have more than enough flasks (like 14?) to deal with it, and I like that FromSoft is being more creative than just having a cutscene for everything.
There’s also a lot of overworld items that hard counter him like Mohg’s Shackle and the purifying tear which is another good point of design since it can reward exploration.
Anyway, Mohg was one of my top fights on my first play through and as time goes on he seems to be getting more and more clear as my top boss in the game.
