I feel like I am the last realist on this forum...
Like, who the fuck cares? It would be good writing when Joyboy and/or Ryuma will remain said legends even when their ceiling is supposedly reached by the protagonists in the future.
It doesnt matter really whether someone gets surpassed EoS or remains compareable.
Only people with atrocious and annoying agendas are caring for shit like that.
What matters is whether Oda maintains said legacies or drops them before the finishline.

Titlehawk's reputation literally hinges on Zoro's feats, that's how poorly Lolda has written Mihawk to be. 
Titlehawk will need to show reality splitting feats to be considered stronger than Shanks, let alone Roger.

Joyboy lost to Imu… we’ve seen that Imu very rarely gets involved directly with these island invasions… So it’s likely Imu wasn’t directly involved in the fight against Ryuma
true, the PROTAGONIST will surpass the legends… As in Luffy will surpass Joyboy and Ryuma… since they have both been paralleled to Luffy as heroes… Luffy will be the ultimate hero

notice how Oda intentionally makes Mihawk NOT A VILLAIN… Like it would have been very easy for Oda to have made Mihawk a bad guy so that Zoro defeating him can be a hero moment in and of itself… But that’s didn’t happen, Oda made sure that even Zoro’s final fight is not heroic whatsoever, it’s just Zoro achieving his dream
He is not. Ryuma is comparable to Joyboy, Mihawk is not… and No, that “Shanks haki was compared to Joyboy” thing doesn’t work since Joyboy had this thing called THE AWAKENED NIKA FRUIT… Shanks is a mere Yonko, and so Mihawk is also just Yonko level… none of them are comparable to Joyboy
Becoming stronger than Shanks doesn’t make you Ryuma level since Ryuma is more comparable to Joyboy himself

EoS Zoro is going to be the King in physical contact combat. I don't even know if Ryuma is the ceiling there.
Oda's baseline for that seems to be a) a weapon of choice + a refined fighting style b) CoC coating and c) atleast basic FS - Gaban, Kaido, Mihawk..
Add a black blade and that already might have been Ryuma's whole stack. It's powerful and makes him a solid top tier, but I don't see why Ryuma should be a high ceiling.
Zoro has 3 extra perks on top of that baseline stack already: KoH, Santoryu advantages, Asura..
After the Mihawk fight his baseline ability stack will likely include Ryuma's whole repertoire, hence he will likely end up being Santoryu Ryuma at base with all those fancy extra gimmicks.
It's likely that Mihawk is superior to Ryuma btw. With Asura, Enma, Cerberus, Gryphon in the game, Mihawk will have his own special ability aswell I bet, which might make him a Ryuma type of guy + a unique special ability.

I never understood the point of ryuma and if Imu was so OP why they had problem with Samurais and Kaido could easily invade them .
The whole story looks way too silly if Imu had powers to make enemies into demon buddies . I probably suspect Will of D will play role at some point or it makes no sense how Ryun a could have took out WG .

Feats against Kaido?
Zoro landed, what, one or two hits against Kaido, and the last several chapters confirmed he is still equal with Lanji.
But you think if Zoro hits Imu once or twice (like he hit Kaido, feats that you brought up) that would signify Zoro surpassing Roger?
Zoro would be lucky if Lolda stops treating him like he is interchangeable with Lanji, let alone surpassing Roger.

At this point, I expect Zoro to become the World's Strongest Swordsman and the greatest swordsman ever. He can surpass Ryuma, Luffy gaining a legend in Wano reminiscient of Ryuma doesn't remove him from being a goalpost for Zoro. Luffy reaching heights never before seen just means it's likelier Zoro isn't restricted by any top-tiers of the past considering he'll be the Right Hand of such an accomplished figure like Luffy. Shiryu, Nusjuro, Mihawk, there's enough strong swordsmen for Zoro to end up truly amazing.
