Given how big one piece is, Oda should let up and coming mangaka draw stories on this and sign off on them.
like with My Hero Vigilantes.
You could have a spin off for each of the 3 other blues. North blue focusing on Law, Hawkins, Drake, and Doffy. South blue focusing on Kid, Bonney, and Kuma. West blue focusing on Bege and the 5 families. Throw in the respective revo commanders as well, maybe some admiral lore.
Would be a nice supplement to the main story. Especially given how many breaks Oda is taking.

kid is still the best because he stands on business when everything was stack against him. That's something the admirals would never do especially Aramaki who fold the moment shanks even flex his haki at a distance by the way. Kid's willpower is much higher than that of any of the admiral including akainu. But I won't blame him it's shanks after all and that dude barely fights alone despite his haki being superior to the other emperors of the sea.
This has be canon, I refuse to believe it isn't. Atlas and Lilith are such a perfect fit to interact with and collaborate with Kidd too.
Imagine if Kidd met Emeth too? Oh man....We need Kidd and Franky to interact, it would be on the level as Apoo and Brook or Urouge and Enel and so on.
Kidd was meant to go to Egghead IIRC when they drew those paper strips or w/e, him and Luffy got the same result and Luffy ended up taking the route to Egghead ofc and Kidd got Elbaf, when Kidd should have gone to Egghead and Luffy to Elbaf. Oh what could have been, thanks Oda....
Anyway, we'll see what Oda has in store for Kidd when he inevitably returns ofc. The fact he is punk themed and has punk themed attacks, is magnetism focused and loves robots, its not coincidence especially when he and Franky are from the same sea and have the same love of robots and engineering and such.
Oda said he expected Kidd to be much more important and I feel Kidd was meant to be the antagonist of Punk Hazard originally but Oda had to make a last minute switch to Law somehow. Just like Big Mom coming to Wano, Law being "hostile" and thus "an enemy" to the SHs seemingly at Punk Hazard was jarring and felt forced to me. But maybe we could have even had both Kidd and Law in the arc, maybe even in alliance?
I am sure we will see a Kidd and Law alliance down the road but Law may even try to reinstate his alliance with Luffy due to what happened with him and Blackbeard ofc. I'd love to see all 3 of them team up again but once and for all vs the WG and Marines, the Sonic Heroes team /s. Kidd and Law fighting together and actually doing teamwork despite their contrasting personalities was bloody fantastic and awesome and they showed despite their overwhelming differences and inability to get along in general, they could step up when needed and put their pride aside together for the greater good, their own greater good too ideally. Similar to Sanji and Zoro, "Luffy's Wings".
I even expected Kidd and Law if they didn't become Yonkos themselves as they should do eventually at least, would at worst, be joint grand fleet leaders although I suppose Barto and Cavendish already play that role and serve a similar dynamic to Sanji and Zoro, Kidd and Law too funnily enough lmao. Both Barto and Kidd got absolutely fucked over brutally by Shanks ofc, so I'd love to see them somehow collaborate for revenge on him, although Barto is way too in love with Luffy and co to do not do anything with his approval and thus his orders now as part of his grand fleet, hummm....
Its also funny, the way Kidd and Law work together so magnificently not only reminded me of Sanji and Zoro ofc but also how I imagine Luffy and Katakuri would eventually teamup one day, most likely to rescue Pudding amongst other things but also how I expected the Rocks Pirates to fight, even though they are purely self interested and have no loyalty to each other and Xebec, I can see them still doing epic teamwork and combos, like Kaidos and Big Mom's AMAZING Hakai/Ocean Sovereignty for example. Shikis powers are sort of like Kidds electromagnetism and Law's shambles too? Stretching I know but still lol.
Fuck man I need our Kiddachad back ASAP. I was hoping this arc ideally but just bring him back Oda, even if its later.
Kidd with so many female characters on his crew and also some hot ones at that, some of them seem to adore and respect him even, going by scenes from the anime at least, he's the kind of guy who seems like a complete brute and well acts like one but has a heart of gold deep down under that edgy, anarchistic, tsundere attitude (my kind of favourite character like Jinx ofc for example lololol).
He's such a legend too, that Oda drew 30ish unique members for his crew, gave him a crew that massive with their own creative designs and names. If he didn't care about Kidd that much as his haters want us to believe (they are only trying to fool themselves, but how do you fool a fool anyway? I pity the fools!), he would never write such a compelling backstory for him even if its in SBS Piece and the whole thing with the 30 crewmates, giving him an awakening and making him look extreemely awesome and cool, especially with the Big-Mother-fucking /penetrating Damned Punk RAILGUN (he really wanted to rail Big Mom I guess, badum tsh, based MILF lover, Kidd) but he also humanised him greatly with that backstory, him and his crew laughing with Killer to make him not feel so cursed and like a "freak", similarly to how Yasuie pretended to have the Smile curse to make Toko not feel alone and a cursed freak of nature too, his concern for Killer's situation and thus heartbreak, him helping save Nami and Tama indirectly from Big Mom, I feel hes the kind of guy who would HATE to see women and children get hurt and abused too, similar to Sanji and Nami funnily enough, so even more ammunition/fuel right there etc.
Anyway thats my occasional, inevitably Kidd essay post lmao. He's extremely awesome in Pirate Warriors 4 too, not tried him in Burning Blood but he's so much fun to play as in PW4, very creative mechanics/ideas. I can't wait to see what they can do with him now he's actually gotten to fight properly and go all out with awakening too and such. Same for Law and such. Pirate Warriors 4 did such a godly job with Smoothie and Yamato and also with Tashigi and Nami in the 3rd game and such, so the potential is gonna be absolutely fricking insane for Kidd and Law!
I was really disappointed on how Oda handeld Kidd vs Apoo too but maybe there might be more to it in future hopefully and Kidd can get a better revenge, although what happened with him and Shanks was WAY worse ofc, so I doubt that is necessary now.
