Don't know where the narrative of Zoro being slow comes from. Zoro has a (bad) habit of trying to overpower the attacks of opponents with attacks of his own. He just fails at the strength test at times like with King and Kaku.

It's just the basic comparison to Sanji and Luffy.
People think there are tiers to it.
Luffy fans think Luffy fought Kizaru so his light speed is kinda fast.
Whereas Sanji fans think he is so fast that he turns invisible.
Zoro kinda doesn't have that kind of Feat yet. Yes, Shishisonson is straight-up speed blitz Attack. But the base speed isn't as much as Luffy's and Sanji's.

But again, by no means is he slow. He can keep up with nearly anyone right now.
