Another thing is that in the original manga the devil slayer ice was purple and not black. Black color was only with god slayer magic so I was confused. Maybe Mashima changed it? Or is it black magic because of devil slayer magic and thats the reason it's black and not purple anymore?
Btw did you guys notice that Erza has a new armor?

If you don't mind tons of asspulls and rivaling amount of fan service, your favorite character is Natsu or Erza, you're good.
I have read FT, some of the spin-offs and still am reading FT 100YQ, but it's mostly out of habit. I like the art and quite a lot of characters (who unfortunately aren't the main ones), but the power ups often make no sense, plot is at times meh, so don't have super high expectations.
Ironically, I like Rave Master, Mashima's first serious work the most, it has the best story imo. FT often feels disconnected as initially Mashima didn't think it would have 500 chapters or so.

Lucy and Wendy vs the Sisters sounds good.
Gray vs Lecka was obviously.
I also like it that Natsu fights together with Erza. Is that the first time that we get a team fight only with them? (without Gray, Lucy etc)

Imo the fight Natsu and Erza vs Wed could show us more about Weds past and maybe even give him (and Natsu too?) more development.

This is still the biggest problem. Without this bi-weekly shit, I think many parts of the story would be handled better. Like the DG.
I don't think they would have to rush them so hard, if the manga would be weekly than bi-weekly.
The fights would also be longer I think.
