I was reviewing statistics and it strikes me that Mbappe, even though he is only 24 years old, has already had a sudden physical decline. He's still pretty quick, but he's got a lot less breath compared to his 19 years. At the age of 24, he is the player who least helped his team defensively among all the teams in the cup. The 35-year-old Messi has much more stamina than Mbappe and helps defensively more than him (although not much). At 24 Messi was very agile and still helped many of his teams defensively. I believe that Mbappe will be that type of player who stops performing at a high level after 26 and at 31 he will be in a small team.
