The Cursebreakers had received a missive calling for help from Martha's Rest. The missive claimed that swarms of Akashic were at their doors, and what little they had left to defend with was all but spent. They headed over there as fast as they could, but unfortunately, it was too late. Not a single survivor remained.

Just two Dominants were left. Yet having possessed the power of every other Eikon, there was truly only ever one victor. Dion, for his part, recognised this from the first. He summoned forth a great meteor of light, and his clash with Ifrit broke into the very heavens. His aether soon spent, Dion naturally fell back to earth, his smile content.

Endgame
The final obstacle to overcome was his mother herself. She never had much love for him, but even so, Clive never wanted to see it come to this. His mother, at least, had the mercy of killing herself, unable to accept that her world had come crashing down.
The world had truly been brought to ruin. With everything dead or near enough, one would be forgiven for assuming that life had gone extinct. Clive had bested Ultima, but there was nothing left to save. Not for him, for those he fought for, or those he loved. And yet, forwards did he continue onward. The petrification had set in, and he'd lost feeling in his weaker arm. Soon, he would no longer be able to hold his sword. As the sun rose, Clive knew that a brighter future would one day come to humanity. Whether he would be remembered as a hero who gave humans their sunrise, or the villain that robbed them of their aether, he wouldn't know, and nor did he care. Clive was satisfied. He has fought to the last for one small piece of freedom, and it had been won. The freedom for all to choose, that they may at least die on their own terms.

With every other player dead, Emil has achieved his win condition.
