I barely follow but I predict PSG not winning this season

Just looking at transfers this summer i've realised just how awful Liverpool's ownership are. It's a miracle they have achieved anything under FSG.

Desperate need for a rebuild in midfield this summer so they sell/release 8 players (6 of which are midfielders) and they sign just 2 midfielders and currently have numerous gaping holes in their midfield (no defensive mids other than an 18 year old)

They (other than Chelsea and Luton) are the club which needs the biggest rebuild this summer in the PL. They've signed the fewest players in the league

They've spent the last month wasting time trying to haggle Southampton's asking price for Lavia, all eggs in one basket and now Chelsea have come along meeting the asking price lmfao

The club has also very poorly planned its squad. They are now falling short of homegrown rule which means they can't even list a squad at the minimum size of 23 players until they sign 2 U21s or homegrown players

Also poorly planned because the squad has just one left-sided CB, one RB worth any salt and one RW worth any salt with no DMs of senior level

I also looked back and FSGs response to injury crises over the years (Liverpool have had 3 in 7 years, with all 3 seriously impacting team performance) and the fact FSG hasn't learned from the fact they clearly need a bigger squad. Also remember their defense crisis 3 years ago where they thought loaning in Kabak would be a good replacement for 4 injured CBs? Crazy!

Liverpool too high given their squad is currently bare bones and it doesn't look like they're signing many other players - also with Nkunku out till november I think that could seriously harm Chelsea's start to the season so 7th might be too high but otherwise a pretty fair prediction!

Inter have lost some of their most important players (Onana, Skriniar, Brozovic, Lukaku) - it'll be a miracle if they win the league even if they have replaced these players pretty well!

I think Lazio are dark horses - Castellanos and Kamada are quality signings!

Inclined to agree but I think Real could win the league this year but could also drop below Atleti who have done some great business this summer

Why Bremen so high? Why aren't Freiburg or Frankfurt up here?

I think Leverkusen could fight for 2nd given they had the most points in the league after Alonso's appointment and their signings this summer have been crazy good - if Bayern have a bad year they might finally lose the title!

I think Strasbourg's too high here since their signings have only really improved their attack. The midfield and defence are still shockingly bad

I think Marseille could win it if PSG are as bad as last year

Rennes need to be mentioned. That team is going from strength to strength having signed Le Fee and Blas this summer. Arguably the best midfield in the league after PSG

Question though - who do you think is getting relegated this season?

- In my Premier League predictions i also start to think i might have put Aston Villa too low.
- About Inter Milan,i think they still have a team good enough to win the title, they just need a "20 goals per year" striker to replace Lukaku. I agree Lazio is great, but they have Champions League this year and not a bench strong enough to keep up with the double competition,so they might lose some points here and there
-About Werder Bremen,i think they have a good coach and i liked the signing of Keita and Ballo-Toure'. But you are right maybe they re too high and Eintrach Frankfurt will do better, especially if they keep Kolo Muani. Its true Bayer Leverkusen could do even better than 4th place, but Lepizg also made a good team with Xavi Simons and F.Carvalho
- In Ligue 1 i agree about Rennes, they are promising, and they will also buy Matic from Roma it seems. Also,Strasbourg seems that will get Zatrayan trough Chelsea, who seems to be a strong young Russian mildfielder. Marseille with Marcelino can do great!

About relegations,i am not expert enough about all the leagues's relegation zones,so i will make predictions only on the Premier League and Serie A ones:

Premier:
18- Wolverampthon
19- Luton
20- Shieffeld

Serie A:
18- Empoli
19- Verona
20- Frosinone

- Im not sure what to make of Villa because I feel like they have massively improved their depth but other than Diaby, they haven't actually improved their starting XI
- So Inter essentially replaced their key players as follows:
  1. Onana for Sommer (slight downgrade)
  2. Brozovic for Frattesi (slight downgrade)
  3. Skriniar for Aurel-Bisseck (big downgrade as of right now, more of a long-term signing)
  4. Lukaku for Thuram (like for like)
  5. They've lost Dzeko and havent replaced him either
So i really doubt they'll win the league. I think CL spot is very likely but the best teams on paper look like Napoli, Juve and Lazio right now

- As for Bremen they nearly got relegated last season and their main signings aren't impressive. Keita's okay, but he'll be an average player if he can even stay fit and given he's already got a long term injury pre-season he's very unlikely to have any impact. Ballo-Toure's not that good a player either. Their new player to watch out for is Lynen tbh

- Didn't know Rennes were going for Matic but that sounds interesting! Does that mean they're selling Majer?

I agree on PL but I think Luton and Everton will battle for 18th/17th. Luton are a moneyball club so I suspect all their signings will ultimately be good deals which is why I give them a chance

I'm not as familiar with Serie A - the Bundesliga's more my thing and I think it's looking like Augsburg and Bochum could go down but i'm also not expecting much from Darmstadt

Its also true that Skriniar from January basically never played for Inter Milan as titular, because he was injured,so they reached the CL final with Acerbi,Darmian,Bastoni as titular defenders. Yes Acerbi and Darmian are old,but its a good defense. Brozovic was also injured most of the times last year, and they often played with Calanoglu-Barella-Mkitharyan in midifield. So i think they're good in defense and midfield, but they need someone who can score a lot of goals. Lautaro and Thuram are good but they are not enough yet. Napoli is favorite to win Serie A,if they keep Osimhen like it seems they will, but in the end i think Inter can win.

Yes,Rennes is going for Matic,it seems he wants to leave Rome for personal reasons, its not a technical choice. But Roma asks for some money to Rennes so maybe they will sell some player before buying him,its possible!

Real perdrid is no winning anything this year :suresure:
No Benzema they didn't even sign someone good like mbappe
courtois out for 7 months
2018 deja vu when Ronaldo left :gokulaugh:
