Character Discussion Fuck Kaido as a character

I personally think Kaido would stack up better as a character if we had time to explore him pre Onigashima raid, we barely saw him in Acts 1 and 2 meanwhile in Dressrossa Doflamingo was omnipresent throughout the arc.

It's the craziest thing. We spend a lot of time with the Beast Pirates in Act 1 & 2 but it's all devoted to SMILE users who don't matter, Queen who sort of matters or Orochi who does not matter. Even to his life long enemies lmfao.

I'll never understand Oda's decision making in keeping Kaido, King, Jack, the Tobi Roppo, the main adversaries to the protagonists, out of the story for so long.

As well I wish the Oden flashback was shortened and gave space for a proper Kaido flashback, Now I know Oda probably cucked Kaidos flashback because it deals with stuff he doesnt want us to see yet but its such a disgusting way to treat a major character like him who has been the overarching villain for the post skip saga so far to just neglect his backstory was a very bad decision.

I try not to remember the Oden flashback tbh. It was painful.

Yeah, Xebec being pivotal to Kaido 100% shut down Kaido's flashback. Which is pretty undeserved unless Xebec looks identical to an existing character or is an existing character.

Now every single plot point and character will be built around that retard God. Characters past will retconned into Nika wank.

I'm just waiting for it to be revealed that Akainu and Fujitora are both guided by their Nika worship from early days, Akainu was just misunderstood, he actually wanted to do good in the name of Nika.

Kaido is not and has never been my favorite. I respect his strenght and that is all. He has cool design too, like Gengis Khan.

The most we gonna see from kaido is gonna be on god valley where Roger gonna fold him quick time and meme give him the fruit and him run away.

Kaido isn't tied to xebec like that. The most he has is he tried to fight him and wb and got stomped.

The funniest part was watching all the dumb Oda dickriders who were constantly saying “bro just wait for his flashback let Oda cook” throughout the whole arc only to get a rushed 3-4 page dogshit backstory that taught us barely anything new or meaningful

now those same people are backpedaling and retorting to “just wait for Xebec rocks flashback” instead

He joined Rox at a young age and I think that would be the prime age to explore Kaido's character and how the Rox pirates impacted him.

Tied to Xebec, tied to the crew, it's the same deal.

Rox didn't leave any impact on kaido bar his own strength.

I wanted to see his rise into what he became now, so Oda couldve skipped God Valley and Rox days if he wanted and gave us Kaidos adventures post God Valley and Post Oden Flashback.

Tbh I do feel bad for you Fuji. Kuzan & Kizaru are getting some awesome character development, so it's not like Oda's incapable of delivering in that department. He just chose not to for Kaido.
