I have to admit it's a clever theory especially with regards to Yamato and Fuga being friends. But I won't believe it until it's confirmed, as I don't think it does anything for the narrative.

Yeah, fuga is not Ushimaru. First and third one have similarities or resemblance to other cave samurai. But absolutely nothing resemblance from fuga to Ushimaru, whatsoever.
