For those who don’t know gaban and sanji are different characters. Same way Rayleigh and zoro are different characters and the Roger Pirates and straw hat pirates are different crews

Zoro and sanji have different roles, relationships, and personalities in the crews compared to Rayleigh and Gaban

Using them to leach wank or hate from is weird and stupid. It’s the same way king and queen are their own characters separate from zoro and sanji

Sure zoro and sanji will surpass them in strength but that’s pretty much it
It’s okay to love or hate Rayleigh/Gaban separately from zoro/sanji and vice versa

Zoro is definitely not Rayleigh or Oden. Power-wise he's gonna be stronger. Role-wise, closer to Ray, but he ain't the first mate. SHP doesn't have nor need a vice-captain. It's always going to be Luffy the captain with everyone else having the same ranks.

You're right. Gaban isn't Sanji. But not for the reason you stated. It's because that disgusting, horribly written, fish smelling, lung cancer victim having, predating, okama FRAUD isn't the #3 of Luffy's group. It's Jinbei. This is why I want gaban so we get more Jinbei scenes.

Oda wrote some straight garbage in Wano but one good thing he wrote was the symbolism in 1034, the Sanji vs Queen chapter. It was Sanji destroying the raid suit with the number "3" on it. This combined with Jinbei having a higher bounty post Egghead was some great symbolism from Loda that Sanji had officially left his number 3 role of the crew and had passed the baton on to Jinbei.

Prime Gaban was probably low yonko tier or admiral tier. How can he be EOS Sanji's parallel when EOS Sanji is capping out at YC+

I mean isn't that obvious. No one is saying they are exactly the same. Just that sanji's equivalent was gaban from Roger pirates. Sanji and gaban have completely different styles of fighting also.
