Shin getting a boner for Yo Tan Wa made me remember how much time has actually passed and it makes it a little awkward when you think about the age of these characters
Heki should be around 40 and he's a general and a noble, he should have a few wives and a dozen kids by ancient china standards but he's still being a tsundere with a 20 year old
Yu Tan Wa is the same
She's probably not gonna be able to have kids in a couple years and not only does she not have kids there is still rivalry on who's gonna marry her
Isn't royal blood like the most important thing for them?
Maybe she popped some in-between campaigns but i could also imagine that not the bloodline but strength matters most for succession

I doubt she has any kids seeing how the tribe leaders are still trying to get her into bed
I also don't think it's gonna be based on strength since she was the one that decimated and made them join her
It would be weird if she dies and then somehow Danto is the King of mountain people and every tribe is okay with it
I guess Hara doesn't care about this

Yes, she united them with her strength, not because of a birthright.

Kingdom needs more naval battles
We've only seen the Yellow River and that other small one that En-san crossed like a boss right?

I guess the risk of having the majority of your troupes on a boat far outweighs any strategical advantages you might gain from it.

But agreed, it would be great to have see "actual" naval though and what the strategy would be. Even if it's on a small scale.

Qin:

The chapter starts off with Marron making food for the Kanki leaders. They're enjoying the meal made by Marron while watching the Ousen army capture the castle ahead of them. The HSU is also told to stand by while Shin wonders if it's okay for just the Ousen army to be involved. Kyoukai and Rei smell the Kanki leaders' food. Ousen directed the Kanki army, HSU, Gakuka and the Heki army to defend them from outsiders while they attacked Atsuyo. En-san asks Ten what she thinks and if they're being told to wait to be called upon later like at Eikyuu and Ten says she doesn't see it that way. Shin asks if it's really okay since it feels like a waste of a unified army. Ten says Ousen probably wants to prevent as much casualty as possible. En-san then asks if they're really going to head far north. Ten says yes and that this time Kantan is properly sending reinforcements and that it's sure to be a fierce war.

Shin then asks if Ousen is acting cautiously out of skepticism and Ten says probably. He then says asks if Ousen was really skeptical wouldn't he have sent the Kanki army to take the castle instead. Ten says he probably knows the Kanki army isn't as adept at taking castles compared to other things and that even if they have that weird siege tower if the Kanki army was the only one taking Atsuyo they'd probably have considerable losses. Shin asks then if siege battles are Ousen's specialty and Ten says he's most likely confident they'll have the least amount of casualties this way. Shin says he'll be watching how well they do.

Denrimi tells his 6th and 7th units to climb the south wall. Sou'ou sees the effort by Denrimi and tells his lieutenant to come with him since the south walls will probably open soon. The HSU is watching and are surprised at the number of ladders and soliders climbing up. As Denrimi's soldiers get to the top and stab the Zhao soldiers defending they try to sieze that moment to push forward. However, the Zhao soldiers jump off and take the Qin with them before dying. The Denrimi HQ sees that if the Zhao are seriously injured they will jump off. It was a known tactic where the soldiers attack like a ghost and bring the enemy down with them. Another benefit to this tactic was how it made defending a little easier since if they died by the wall edge then the next defender would have a tough time getting into position with the body still there. By taking themselves out of that spot they make it easier for the next defender to get in place and defend the castle better. SSJ was the one who employed this tactic on the walls of Atsuyo.

Denrimi understands that it's a very effective strategy but to carry it out the soldiers must also be prepared for that sacrifice and finds something is off and questions the Zhao soldiers they're fighting. The narration says that like Denrimi thought the soldiers fighting the Qin right now are those who lost their family members to Kanki in the previous battle who were gathered to Riboku and that's why SSJ was told he could use this strategy. SSJ thinks if Kanki's army was the one climbing then it'd be an even hotter fire but it's good enough and that the Ousen army will be a replacement for the revenge of the 100,000 they lost to Kanki.

Ousen's HQ notices that the Denrimi army haven't been able to create a foothold on the walls just yet. The Ousen army was thorougly facing the consequences of Kanki's actions and Riboku put in another army in charge of defending Atsuyo. The gates opened and the previous Kochou army remnants came out. These cavalry were considered to be the spear of Kochou. The Denrimi army tried to take this chance to get thru the opened door but they immediately closed it and the Ousen army saw it as them saying they have no intention of returning. Ousen stood up and says "not good." The two generals and their units that came out pushed thru the gaps between the Ousen army who was left stunned and unable to move and per SSJ's order went straight to attack Denrimi who was left in charge of the directing the Ousen army on the walls.

No break notice but supposedly a magazine break next week.
