Kaine:
The chapter starts off with Kaine calling Riboku and a few children back for dinner. The kids call her mom and ask what's for dinner to which she says lamb soup. The kid on Riboku's shoulder says they like it and Riboku says the same. The kid then says they like mom and Riboku says the same. Kaine then hugs Riboku and says she really likes him too. The kids laugh while saying their mom is hugging their dad.
Zhao:
Riboku wakes Kaine up and tells her that it's time to go back to Kantan so she must get ready right away. Kaine realizes it was just a dream. She says that she would've liked to have not gone back and stayed with Riboku and gone back to Ganmon with him. She realizes she just said all that out loud because she hasn't fully woken up yet and Riboku says after everything's over they can go back to Ganmon together. Kaine asks him to repeat it because she didn't hear him well and he says it's nothing.
After returning from Gian Riboku sent out 2 different horses. One to Seika and one to "Nangmeng" (not sure which castle this is referring to in the overall map yet) the castle north of a city owned by Qin. After receiving his message 2 reps from Seika came to Nangmeng. The Nangmeng rep says that he heard from Riboku that the two are well versed in warfare so they should give them command of the Nangmeng soldiers. The Seika rep says that they heard the Nangmeng troops are valiant fighters and that they also brought their troops with them. The Nangmeng asks them to use their soldiers as their own arms and legs. The Seika rep tells him to not worry and the Nangmeng rep wonders if Nangmeng will really be the site of the next war.
The Nangmeng rep understands that the Qin has come as far as right in front of Kantan but doesn't know why they will be attacked so far north. The Seika rep says it's how Riboku set it up in order to achieve great victory. The Nangmeng rep says that if it's for the state then they will spill their blood for the cause. They agree to fight well together on the field and the Nangmeng rep says they'll prepare a place for them to warm up and drink and the other Seika rep yells thanks. It will still be awhile for the Qin to approach them so they will make ample preparations before they come.
Narrator:
It's been 5 months since this meeting. The Qin has come up with a strategy for attacking Gian. The Ousen and Kanki army will conquer "Alyeo" castle and push past it while the West army will take Nangmeng and join up with the Ousen/Kanki army in order to take Gian with one large force. The Yotanwa army would link up with the HSU in the meantime.
Qin:
Shin greets the Yotanwa army as they arrive. Yotanwa says every time they meet she can barely recognize him. Tajifu says hi, he's healthy and asks if Shin's healthy too. Shin gets mesmerized by Yotanwa for a moment before feeling some stares on him. The Yotanway army will be put in charge of defending the two castles while the HSU heads out. Heki bids his farewell to Yotanwa too and Shin realizes Heki will be fighting with them in the Ousen army. While the HSU is getting excited Kitari says that Heki was complaining about not wanting to leave and even went as far as to cry about it. Heki replies in the mountain language that he didn't cry. Heki was able to pick up on the mountain language a little bit in the time that he spent with them. Kitari tells him to not die since she won't have anyone to make fun of if he does. Heki says he will teach her how to speak his language the next time they meet. 300 from a mountain group named the "Najyara" joined the Heki army as well.
Yotanwa says she heard about Riboku and tells him to be careful. Shin says he got it and also asks her to show him the necklace she got for being a 6 great. Kyoukai says "Let's goooooooo" and they see the Kanki army heading out. The HSU and Heki armies all head out as well. At the same time the Ousen army and the Gakuka army headed out as well. They were all approaching Alyeo.
Kantan:
Kantan receives news that the Qin are approaching just like Riboku said they would. The Riboku crew begins getting ready to head out before the new king walks in. The king says that he was just passing by and heard the news so he wanted to see. He also says that he knows he isn't that well liked by those in the room. Riboku says it's not so while he says it's his own opinion. Then the king licks Kaine's hand while asking if she's a woman. Riboku says that she's a vital part of his army and the king stops and says if Kaine wipes her hand in front of him she'll be executed.
The king then says to Riboku that he knows he's fighting for them but he doesn't like nor dislikes him. Whatever happens with Kakukai is irrelevant to him and he only cares about his own pleasure which surpasses the previous king's. However, unlike the previous king he will not get in Riboku's way so he must be better than him in that regard. Riboku says that a king must think about the state. The king tells him to stop and that if he does that again then he'll have his tongue. He then tells them to focus on the war and that how long he will be able to enjoy this pleasure is dependent on them and tells Riboku to keep his pleasurable time safe.
Riboku says that his intention from the beginning was to keep the nation safe. The king sees that Alyeo is next and asks about the preparations. Riboku says that with what they have prepared they will halve the Ousen/Kanki armies in this battle.

Riboku is definitely GOAT. He perfectly planned out this scenario as I expected. Great generals and minds such as Ousen, Kanki and Shoheikun are falling for his trap.
I think Riboku has hidden a huge army near Gian. Those army would be elites who fought those Zhao’s mountain tribes. Ousen and Kanki are going to nearly lose this battle. Reducing half the numbers of Ousen and Kanki armies this far north of Zhao well away from Qin is gonna cripple Qin’s attempt to capture Zhao. They won’t have established supply lines this far north and their numbers will be too low to be threatening (after they most probably lose this battle). Excited for this

Why hasn't the King been disposed yet?
Think about it, it's not like the King has any major backup. It seems majority of Zhao, from the big name generals, majority of the soldiers in battlefield, the citizens / villagers in scattered areas of Zhao, even the idiot government officials in the palace.
All of them either supports Riboku and knows he is the biggest deal in Zhao, or just don't like the King.
So why is the King still not disposed yet?
They also should know Renpa left the country because of the shitty King. So if they kill the King, and make Prince Ka the next king, then who knows, Renpa probably will return to Zhao again.

He can't become a King just like that. He aint from the same bloodline as that of the King's, and Kakukai already is in control of the court he would never allow that.
Riboku would need to start a civil war just to make the other prince a King that he supported, let alone if he himself wants to be a King.

Shin getting a boner for Yo Tan Wa made me remember how much time has actually passed and it makes it a little awkward when you think about the age of these characters
