Okay wait, calm your asses down.

It was stated that the invasion from Gokei and the one from Renpa were repelled thanks to the efforts of those two 1000 men commanders. They were geniuses (and clearly above that level already) but from this it looks like that they might have pulled a "Shin", basically being the "deciding factor" in Han's victory, the point on the iceberg. Kinda like Shin's efforts proved decisive for the victory of this or that Great General. But the one leading Han's armies at the time would have been somebody else.

Then, they became generals and repelled various invasions from the states, but here Renpa and Gokei aren't mentioned.

Their overall level of hype is still big, make no mistake, with Ouki wanting to fight them and all.

Repelling Gokei and Renpa multiple times is the type of hype I'd expect Kouen to get tbh

It's still funny to think Renpa has multiple fails against Han.

Meanwhile when anyone from current gen looses people loose their minds.

Honestly it’s not that big of a deal lmfao. It’s just funny how hard people overrated Renpa vs how Hara actually handles him.

I once again bring up that people thought Renpa would curbstomp Earl Shi, when in actuality Renpa was busy getting bullied by two 1K man commanders from Han lmfao.

@Bullet gonna have to work over time after this chapter. @MarineHQ I’m sorry my man, Hara has not been kind to you the last couple of years lol

Basically, those guys:

- Played a huge role in defending against Renpa's and Gokei's respective invasions as 1,000 men commanders. Like Shin was able to, repeatedly, some great effort of theirs in some part of the battle were able to tip the scale.

- Their natural talent led them to an absolutely meteoric rise to General, probably the fastest in the manga. And they defended Han from various invasions.

- They did not fight in the last 20 years, and this is portrayed to be a factor in Qin's victory and Tou's superiority to Raku'a Kan here. Tou will defeat him but it's possible that if Raku'a Kan had been more active those years, the two would have been equal.

Big hype for these two nonetheless.

I actually like this.

These two have extreme raw talent and ability, but they were cursed by being born in a weak state that seeks to avoid conflict. If they had been born in Zhao, Wei, Qin or Chu they would be much more experienced and great generals of those states by now.

It shows that even though Qin 6 level talent like Raku exists in other states outside of the big 3, it can only flourish under the correct circumstances.

it also seems to confirm they were around at the same time Seikai was. I lowkey got the impression they only rose after he died but seems like that's not the case

I appreciate the efforts lol but this clearly puts an end to the Renpa and Heavenly King hype. They definitely weren't anything special, there's no coming back from this reveal. Hara has definitely decided to hype up the current arc antagonists on the expense of Renpa which overall is only a big deal for die heart Renpa fans. For Hara Renpa really seems to be a disposable old legend that's a good baseline comparison between old and newer gens. I'm glad he protected Ouki though, that would've been too much.

So yeah lol, it is what it is.
I have come to claim my Ws as the 1 Waku a'kan and Woko woko fan in existence @SakazOuki @MarineHQ @Owl Ki @Elder Lee Hung :endthis:
You definitely deserve it lmao

Well Renpa was probably leading the tatters of Zhao's army after they lost 400k against Hakuki, while Qin is one of the superpowers along with Chu. Different levels of military resources.

This chapter gave some good hype to Raku and Haku though.

Renpa is still top 5 of all time. He just isn’t some unstoppable demigod-like force.

Although this is a colossal blow to the Three Great Heaven Agenda. New 3GH > washed up old 3GH.
