Well Ousen took the farthest north

Not only cutting the escape route but he wanted to weaken the core (Kantan) and then attack the capital

If they would attack kantan then Atsuyo, Gian and so on would send troops and resources to supply the capital together with the great Wall Qin wouldn't be able to accomplish much

Ousen did predicted that Riboku will do something thats why only he attacked atsuyo but failed to accomplish to properly conquer it

But I agree I'm disappointed in Ousen he couldn't predict that Riboku would attack the northern army

It actually is though. I get that even if Riboku knows this they still have to send that army, but they should've been better prepared for an ambush no matter how incompetent the general.
But I guess they were confident in their information blackout but Riboku just predicted it instead of relying on spies

It also seems like the opposite of Shukai plains is happening with Riboku's "pawns" being better than Qin's one. SBS's men are making a big difference while that joke of a general is fucking up big time on Qin's side.

Shin is already Riboku level in martial prowess.

Thats why i said will be Shin and Mouten.

Ousen was always portrayed to be above Riboku in Gyou arc when he was always counter attacking Riboku i could agree with you,if you said they are equal.
