I think it tends to be an Asian experience

because Hispanic and black people have massive communities in the US.

“Asians” are a smaller minority, but even amongst other Asians, because of how ethnically and religiously diverse Asia is, it’s hard to find community.

The worst part is when members of the dominant society objectify minorities and constantly feel the need to remind them of how 'exotic' and 'interesting' they are instead of treating them like nuanced individuals.

Psychosis is a mental condition. Gender disphoria is a mental condition. Being transgender is not that.

Most transgender people before transitionning suffer from gender disphoria in their life which is indeed a pathology. But their is a simple treatment to that (in most cases) and it is to make a transition. In short, becoming trans.

Once you are trans and you move toward your real gender, the mental condition disappear, you are no longer "ill".

This is why being trans is NOT a mental condition, but an identity.

So please, refrain from calling it a mental condition.

They are not trying to deligitimize trans people. They are trying to "legitimize xyz (i.e., transracial) people."

So, the reason behind gender disphoria is not yet well known (it could be biological just as much as it could be social) but there is no "change". In a perfect world (meaning a world were the doctors are not deciding the gender of a kid and where gender identity is not pushed on kids) there would not be gender disphoria and in fact trans people would just be like everybody.

I think I understand but that the thing, the problem behind trans issue is social. Not biological. Gender disphoria only appears because of a social pressure put on kids. Without this social pressure (like I stated above) there wouldn't even be an issue and trans people would just like everyone.

As Trans is like being cis.. its just an identity, nothing more.

But yeah its a rare natural occurence.

The issue now is not to reduce the number of trans, that would be eugenistic, its to reduce the social pressure put on them from birth. What is needed is a total restructuration of the medical aspect of society and to help parent understand how not to put gender pressure on their kid. Annd everything should be okay.
