Yeah I added more to to it. The basis of western values are largely Judeo-Christian. There’s a lot more to western values, but religion played a big role in them
Culturally? absolutely. But things are changing. Young people are starting to reject religion in numbers never seen before. I think the divisions we see among ideology nowadays are proof of how as a society we're redefining our values.

Even a secular society still follows basic Christian values. Years from now as religion becomes more unpopular people will still understand the impact it had in the current day values

Alright. Would you mind giving me some clear examples of said values? It's not that I disagree with you but I want to know exactly what type of values you're talking about.

Self control, peace, love. The hippy shit Jesus talked about

I literally critiqued Judaism, my bro. The religion teaches them that they're the chosen ones :'D.

If I have a particular dislike for Islam, it is due to the lies that are spread about it. They are not the religion of peace. Such claims are built on clever sophistry. The idea of killing one being equal to killing all mankind, for example, falls on deaf ears in the eyes of the law of reciprocity.

It is not the religion of peace, and I adamantly stand by that.

All religions can be used for supremacy, you are correct, but in the modern era those religions are Islam and Judaism. I've heard some even call Communism a neo religion, but I'm not willing to go that far.

Aight. First of all -- nice joke.
Secondly - I wouldn't put such an attempt past someone who has endorsed adultery.
Communism is a culture. To be a religion it needs to have a dogma,Communism doesn't have that, but it does have a life of it own. Each generation discards the previous one and claims to be the true communists Marx was talking about.

Interesting, I'd argue a lot of these are disappearing in are increasingly faithless world. I cannot speak for America, but people don't even greet their neighbours where I am, let alone hold a sense of community.

I know of multiple people in my environment who have been involved in polycules.

Self-control is something that is not encouraged. We only need to look towards the messaging that encourages over-emotionality to show that holding one's emotions in check is not something that is valued any more.

Peace? Superficially.

Fuck...

I largely disagree. The idea of avoiding violence is ingrained in us as children in schools and households. We would be a lot more violent as a society without it
Then how come we're such warlike people? I mean, the numbers speak for themselves. Violence has become a business, and we're the one selling it.

Jesus was also pro immigrant. A large amount of the population is extremely xenophobic.

Humans can compartmentalize. Plenty of peaceful religious waged wars because they deemed in-acting violence on other people moral, or a necessary evil.

when we talk about society I mean within the society.
