Social sciences/disciplines w/e also suffer from underfunding and generally less development over the last years in favor of stem subjects. The less people know about the past and about human nature the more likely they are manipulated by capitalist politicians and corporations.

I don't know enough about their founding, but yeah, I wouldn't be surprised. After all social science have a tendancy to question big hegemonic myths that are the basis for toxic systems such as capitalism.

Again, asking a liberal if they are pro-science will result in an affirmative answer.. but the moment we start to question the value of the notion of "meritocracy", they will start to panic, even if that's something clearly discussed in sociology.

I thought about doing something fun. I'm calling it "WOKE NEWS". Basically, this will be summary of a bunch leftists leaning news and new leftist related content that came up recently. Because I'm french, there might be a lot of french related content but I will try to extend that to other country.

Don't expect a regular schedule, I will post it only when I have a bit of motivation.

POSSIBLE GENOCIDE IN DARFUR

The "Human Right Watch" issued a warning explaining that there was a risk of a possible genocide in Darfur in west Sudan in the context of the Sudan war.

The "Rapid Support Forces", an independent military force in armed conflict with the Sudan military might be involved in crime against humanity and war crimes against massalit and other non arabic population in West Darfur. Notably in the town of Al geneina where 15000 people where found dead.

Repression against Sub-saharian migrants and dark skinned people in Tunisia is accelerating. Black people are being targeted by masked policemen randomnly and journalists who raises their voice against the regim are being arrested:

Fascist, Neonazis and ultra identitarians have been authorized to march in Paris.

This authorization arrives in a context where multiple Pro-Palestinian and anti-racist demonstrations are being prohibited. You can recognize the ideas of the demonstrators here by the black celtic cross, famous reappropriated white supremacist and Nazi symbol.

Its important to note that a calm march is not necessaraly synonymous of peacefull ideas. In this context, fascists are marching calmly first because they would be arrested at any violence but also to appeal to citizen who could be angered by eventfull demonstrations.

BIDEN TAKING A SMALL STEP AGAINST ISRAEL

As the genocide in Palestine is still underway (more than 35000 thousands death and more than 78000 injured people) and people are being trapped in Rafah, Biden said that he would halt the shipment of artillery and weapon toward Israel if they enter Rafah.

This news comes in a context where biden is pressured by the left and the youth to act against the atrocities commited by Israel against Palestinian. Biden said that he would still support Israel's defense and Iron Dome, but this shows that pressure can work.

In this section, I will share and I might explain more in detail a big leftist concept with the help of one or multiple content of my LEFTIST LIBRARY. I might add more content in here in addition.

Theme of the day: THE MATERIALIST APPROACH

When we talk about materialism, most people will think about the consumerist mindset that people could have under capitalism but its not about that. Materialism is a philosophical mindset that believes that all things are composed by matter and that everything is the result of material interaction. In materialism the universe is independant of human thoughts and we are shaped mainly by our environment.

Its opposed to idealism where all things only depends upon the mind.

Materialism is very prevalent in leftism, notably marxism, as it approach the social in a structural way. Materialism helps us see the world for how it really is and not what we want it to be. Hence why the materialist approach is the one used in science.

I have 0 motivation
I'm unable to concentrate.
I'm unable to put myself into creative related or difficult task more than 20 min unless I have a spike of motivation
I'm unable to move from my place
I'm unable to take a walk
I'm unable to take care of my environment
I'm unable to follow my dream
I see no one

But hey.. if that's because I don't really want to, I guess you just fixed my mental handicap.
