Was he actually guilty, or was he just accused of those things, and the charges were dropped?
This sounds like another smear campaign orchestrated by the media and the democrats to cause defamation to his career, not unlike what happened with Trump.

A simple google search revealed that he got accused and got investigated by FBI and Department of Justice but case concluded with no charges being filed at all.
He's under Ethics committee investigation but there are no charges filed even by the committee.
