I haven't been a Trumper for around eight years. I would identify these days as right of centre, and I always try to focus on the policies. I would absolutely disavow somebody who made a platform on one issue but then went against it. That crumbles any form of integrity that politician has.

Does this mean I disagree with everything he's done? No. I even made that clear in my initial message ("The extent of any defense I have provided in the following years was in relation to the media coverage of Trump and how some of it truly felt hysterical. I no longer believed in him, but I did find the response disproportionate to the individual offences.")

Not everything Trump has said or done deserves the responses he receives. Some of it most certainly does. This is one of those issues.

Likewise. I cannot see it happening. I'm pretty certain the Epstein files won't be released by either side. It's a convenient political smear tool. No doubt most of D.C. has some sort of connection to it, and those who don't lack the power to do anything about it.

Not everything Trump has done was bad - and the derangement syndrome surrounding him is ridiculous - but he ran on a platform of draining the swamp and now he's unwilling to show the files. Whatever is inside is likely not good for him. Either he is directly implicated or someone he cares for is, or it's just so high-level conspiracy that it'll just ruin America. I'm kind of leaning towards all three options in one way or another.
