So you are saying that only people who are personally experiencing a lack of funds, institutionnal security and political safety may ever sympathize with and adhere to progressive or left values?

Let's say that the chance of becoming a leftist when you are directing facing insecurities and marginalization are much greater than becoming a rightists.

But it's not always a fatality. Marx was part of the upper class for ex, but he was smart enough to listen and understand. He spent time observing, taking notes, exchanging etc. This is one of the reason why I often ask people here to follow a dozen of people from each marginalized group, as it alters our filter bubble enough for us to start paying attention more.

That's not how it works. The belief that equal rights for everyone is the way to go is inherently tied to ideology.

Ideologies come from material conditions of existences. Always.

A bourgeois will rarily suddenly start thinking in an anticapitalistic manner out of the blue. Their social, cultural and maybe economical capitals will have to evolve for that to happen, in good or bad.. (usually bad)

What is a "simili-materialist"?
Google has no answers for me.

It means that I'm the closest thing here to a real historical materialist. But compared to some of my fellow leftists out there, I still have a lot of liberal biases (simili as in "not pure"). (which is something that I can observe in the way people usually talk or reply to me, at least in my knowledge, perhaps some are very discretes here)

THere is no reasons, under capitalism, to question meritocracy when you are wealthy, with no capitals problems and have no interest in social sciences

The term (and I was guilty of that too) is mainly used by leftist who refuse to accept critics from their left or more radical group (for ex in fr, the twitch sphere close to PDH is often accusing racialized groups of feminist and LGBTQI+ on twitter and anarchist twitch channel to use activist purity too much when in reality, they are simply criticizing them politically). At my point, we do not consider this as a relevant concept anymore.

Liberal activism do exist as a form of badly placed and individualized activism (very close to what I was doing at the beginning here), but in materialism, we are very cautious about avoiding the term "activist purity" as usually, critics hide a real political problem. (and usually, people who are silenced or invizibilized behind)

I've seen enough Whistlelblowers/ancient accounts.

Most of the stuff we see IS Human made, stuff, tho, but a lot of it is based off Ancient Human Tech/Alien Tech, and a lot of it we wouldn't have come up without reverse engineering.

There's a reason humans started understanding tech so much more, so much more quickly: it's because we started finding ancient tech, but most people didn't know how to use the advanced stuff. So, over time, things get more advanced the faster we reverse-engineer.

Some of it is just beyond our capabilites, though, humans have obvious limitations as a species compared to races that are really advanced biologically.

Department of Energy is where to look if you want to get into actual UFO/Alien shit.

Politicians/Military have been covering up stuff for years, but the DOE is the politics at the center of it.
