I added "almost". The point is that it is almost free. That this ressource became aboundant for certain population.

Free access and universal accessibility kills the needs to privatize and create a conflict over ressources.
How do you do that for food? What about restaurant and bars? Or bakeries?
And other goods such as cars or jewelries, clothes, etc...

You can't have free access to resources as majority of these are scarce in nature.

Resources which aren't scarce require more technology and investment to harness so even these resources can't be free to access.

As far as tap water free in France is concerned then no it's not free at all. Safe to drink? Yes

Free? Nope

Household pays for it via utility bills

It's free in restaurants and bars but cost is included in the rent and it gets passed down to customers through bills they pay when they order something.

At most resources can be subsidized for weaker sections and it comes across as cheap but even this isn't free because taxpayers pay for subsides

State violence against anyone who doesn't fall in line
Aka what happened in every single communist state
I don't believe in states solution sorry.

For food, we produce enough collectively for all humans at the moment. Meaning that the problem of food is not the quantity or the workforce, but the distribution and therefore, the privatization and the creation of scarcity by the industries and overall by capitalists interests.

For cars ? There is no need for Cars that stays sitting doing nothing in a socialist society, so we push the creation of parks of car that you can borrow if you need them. Just like you do in certain city already or with public transport. You don't need to buy a bus, you use it. It's the same principle.

For clothes... you need to understand that the quality you have today and the quality you will have in a socialist society will be completely different. We won't have the need to compete. This means that in such society, we will have the BEST cloth possible, functional ones and of course clothes that will be liberated from the capitalist standards of our time. You will see people starting to invent their own style, you will see groups and communities create their own esthetics without the need of fighting over a price tag or a fancy high society logo. We are currently completely squatched between very few esthetics. In reality, people are wearing pretty much the same things... Now, imagine that these barriers fall... the beauty of diversity ! Esthetically, we will live in the One Piece world, quite literally.

About jewelries.. you need to understand from where the need to buy them comes from: mostly, class pressure and social recognition. In a world without class, this needs completely vanish and fancy stones will lose their value. We will collectivize the distribution of ressources and the production. People will not work to live, people will just live and work will become a collective responsibility rather than a personal mean of survival.

If we organize the world in accordance to our needs, we make the impossible.. possible.

Most of ressources are not scarces, their are privatized, badly distributed. The scarcity you are talking about is artificial. In Paris, if people are leaving in the street, it's not because we lack appartment, there are largely enough habitations or structure to let people live with a shelter. The problem is that said ressources are appropriated by people who mostly don't need them.

Again > we need to organize society according to our needs and not according to a maximalization of profit.

Look at ressources in globality and you will see that very few are REALLY scarces. And for the ones that are not, you will see that there are solutions to counter said scarcity. For ex, if we need rare minerals to build electronic devices... the best is not to plunder the earth.. the best is to make sure that we create product that will last as long as possible. And if necessary we will decide COLLECTIVELY what to do with the ressources.

The earth and its treasure are the common good of humanity. Never forget that.

Don't play with words. Water is collectivized. When I say free it means that we pay COLLECTIVELY for the ressources and the infrastructure. Individually the cost is almost non existent and the ressources is abondant.

Your vision is still locked inside capitalism. You need to think beyond.

Resources are scarce. No point in arguing against it.

Distribution of scarce resources is skewed.

And, no we won't pay collectively for resources. It has to be based on consumption and usage. Those who consume more, needs to pay more.

Imagine that you are in a fancy group project to transform the world or create a fancy spaceship with 30 people in the briefing. That's our society today. In this briefing, only a few people are really allowed to speak freely and these people have the power to give the right of others to speak and give them a few "credit" of word that they can use to make the project advance.. And that is capitalism.

But these people don't want the project to advance, they like this power and their little game, they don't want you to understand that actually, you can talk freely and their power is only an illusion.

Now imagine if every person starts to speak and give idea and debate... suddenly... the project will advance and maybe, just maybe, you will be able to go to the stars soon.

Today, nothing moves because people are paralized by the powerfull who don't have an interest in the world to REALLY change for the better. We are losing our time fighting to talk when we could build a common paradise that could send us to the stars.

This is the real promisse of socialism. This is what capitalist made you fear and question constantly.

Do you make people pay for oxygen? No? What if I told you that there is a world where this could happen?µ

Scarcity is artificial for MOST things. It's a simple fact. You can argue as long as you want :)

To come back to my previous exemple. You are currently this guy sitting to the side of the one who constantly talks and you are asking to others to talk less or to buy words credits for no reasons.

You can argue all you want. We live in a world where ressources are MOSTLY abondant and for the rest, there is nothing that a collectivization can't fix. Especially in an age where said distribution can be done with precision.

If you don't want to pa, don't pay... have fun with your 10000 bill for a broken leg.

Small reminder:

All psy. are cops
All cops are bastard
All billionnaires are violent
All colonists are destructive
All valids are ableist
All whites are racist
All cis are transphobes
All men are sexist
All adults are adultist
All rightists are oppressors
All meritocrats are wrong
All capitalists are unethical
All idealists are dangerous
Everything is political

Understanding and integrating these sentences, their nuances and going beyond the fallacious preconceptions that they are generalizing will allow you to reach a degree of understanding of reality far beyond what you can imagine. Not only because it will bring you knowledge and anger, but also because rather than imagining society through fatalism, knowing the problems will make you suddenly see society as a disfunctionnal machine that can be easily rebuild into something better.

This is a vision of hope.
well they are generalizing, which is why this is beyond retarded.

also what the fuck is an "adultist"?

I get all that. My question is who is going to make the food, the clothes, the cars, etc... what happens to people who owns bakeries, restaurants, bars?
How do you transition to a capitalist society to a communist one and how long will it take?
Because if you tell me, we can do that in a few years without extreme violence, I don't believe you.

Also who decides which kind of food will be prioritized? Everybody will eat the same thing?

So in your society, there'll be no jealousy, no envy, no violence?

Look up how the soviet revolution pretty much wiped out thousands of years of Russian recipes

Inb4 but capitalism

Who here is defending unchecked capitalism? Not even Adam Smith advocated for that
What baffles me is that some people think the transition is going to be easy and wanted by a lot of people.

The thing is the majority of people won't want to let go of their "priviledges". And that also goes for the people who advocate for change.

It's not about who's going to make it but fundamental concept in economics is scarcity.

Nature has limited resources - crops, minerals, water, energy, land and soil and so on.

Time and labour as human resource are limited as well.

Then, there's distribution of resources - some regions are resource rich, some are lacking.

But...But human needs and wants are unlimited.

And, these demands varies as people have different taste, choices, identity.

Scarcity comes from the above - limited resources and ever growing needs and wants.

Then, to produce we need factors of productions which in itself varies from region to region.

One can argue that system right now has led to skewed distribution, artificial scarcity and worsen inequality which is true but this doesn't mean scarcity of resources doesn't exists naturally.
