Upside down populism. They project themselves upwards onto Trump; they see themselves in Trump. Trump says the quite parts outloud and justifies it, he gives them easy answers to complicated problems, he gives them enemies to blame everything on, he preys on their lack of education(Ronald Reagan slashed education because the poorly educated are easier to fool and radicalize). Trump is rude, disrespects women and the disabled, he tries to be masculine and intimidating, Trump does what he wants.

What you said is true.
I did some reading and it turns out Israel really has a resilient economy.
Inflation, budget deficits, monetary policy rates by Central Bank - all are within range or you can say manageable.
Growth in 2025 was still around 2.5 to 3 percent and was projected to grow at 6% in 2026 (well it will come down due to Iran war)
Israel do received foreign aid but it's economy really has strong tax base, deep domestic capital markets, a big high tech/export and start up sector and because of this experts believe that even after economic strain due to Iran's war, Israel will recover quickly.
