DNA research proved that all of us are descendants of 2 humans who lived in 2 different eras
I don't know

Race being physical characteristics is narrow definition. And, it has been used for inclusion and exclusion of people.

A tool to discriminate. If you look into it's definition used or which is in practice then it says "people belonging to European origin or from Middle East or from North Africa" So, definition itself doesn't count those from Asia even if they have same physical characteristics.

That's why many argue it's a social construct.

More correct way is to say having common gene pool or common ancestory - this is far more inclusive.

Whiteness is a pseudoscientific concept based on blood purity. Whiteness is defined not by what it is but by what it isn’t.

Like with the nazi example. Nazis don’t consider Ashkenazi Jews to be white. They have “impure blood” and hence can’t be counted as white.

Americans believe similar things about black people

It doesn’t make sense and it’s not supposed to. It’s all made up 15th century nonsense.

the worst part is that some non white minoroties reappropriated the one drop rule to exclude anyone with partly white heritage from the group

Some native Americans do that
From my understanding

A lot of native Americans are against the idea of blood quantum. They believe it holds the community back more than otherwise.

However there is an issue of white people with absolutely zero connection to Native American culture claiming a Native American identity because of a blood test.

I guess the best way to understand it is that Native American reservations are essentially mini-nations within the USA that are under their own rule.

And if you’re not from there or really connected to it in any way, it’s kinda dumb for you to claim Native American identity.

IMO this whole Race talk is superbly simple but people wanna make it complicated for no reason.

I can take your economical status to discriminate, i can take your social status to discriminate, i can take your appearance to discriminate. Everything can be used to discriminate... so Race isn't inherently bad and there shouldn't be any "censoring" of it.

Differencing people via race has been present since earliest days of human history and it will continue so in the future. You can't erase term of race
