But educating people to do research before commenting on something should be mandatory. That includes, at minimum, getting your news from multiple different sources (and if possible, multiple languages), researching complex topics through peer reviewed journal articles and not a quick wikipedia dive, etc.
Sadly, the way social media functions, there's bound to be a majority that doesn't care or doesn't have the capacity for research so reactionary comments will abound

Meat however is just way more accessible and cheaper.
Problem I have is that not enough people have respect for stuff they eat, and this is mostly city children. Us that grew in villages and farms have respect for the stuff we eat.

But concern is not everyone is self sufficient enough to get to choose what they can eat.
Another concern is declining agri populations and area and fluctuating yield because of climate change.
Also water consumption and pest control
To have full on agricultural system that supplies enough food to replace meat you need to have WAST, and i do mean WAST amounts of water
Then there is pest control, biggest and more fields bring more pests, so you have to pesticide everything over and over which aint good
And then there is problem of animals like Rabbit and Boars that unless hunted regularly will utterly destroy crops
