Now, if you can't understand why illegal immigration is a thing in the first place, or you simply don't care as to why it happens then it's not worth having this conversation. In good faith, I welcome you to read on Latin American immigration, especially those coming from central america, and why those people are fleeing to the united states.
I can have empathy for why people immigrate, sometimes even illegally. But why do the rights of those fleeing outweigh that of the local populace who have their job market oversaturated with labour which drives down employment rates and wages?

I understand why it is a thing. But I don't agree with it. What I especially don't agree with are those crossing the UK channel every day on little dinghies endangering their lives, calling themselves refugees when they're already in a safe place - France. It might sound cruel, and it probably is, but when all the immigrants are young men of fighting age, their cries for 'Asylum' feel like lies.

Welcoming migrants is acceptable when the country has enough to provide. Mine does not. We do not have the economic strength to house more migrants. Do you know what happens? We put British nationals at the bottom of the housing list. We house migrants in hotels and give them new homes but let our own poor rot on the streets. Go to any major British city and you'll see the poverty. I grew up in that, so it hits very close to my heart.

Immigrants do not take the jobs of anyone in the US. Look at the statistics before you assume. Without immigrant workers in the US the economy would be fucked, and that's a fact. If you don't want to have empathy then I don't really care.

I'm speaking about somewhere outside of the US fucking hell.
To add, I am not knowledgeable enough in American politics or culture to make a judgement. It could very well be that way. I'd have to look into it.

@Admiral Maynard I know many German individuals who hold a great disdain for the United States. The following question is not an assumption, but a curious question I have. Given what happened to Germany post WW2, would you consider Germany a country that had been colonized, at least culturally, by the U.S.A and Soviet Russia respectively? If so, do you think this is the cause of the mass-dislike of America that many from Germany have (I know about 12 German individuals who are all distinctly anti-American. Not a huge sample size, but enough to create a pattern).

Furthermore, on another (perhaps) interesting tangent, would people agree that rampant Capitalism's root cause could be extreme individualism? Hear me out: Capitalism was born in the biggest immigrant-founded country of all time, the U.S.A. It is well known that countries with homogenous ethnicities OR cultures tend to be more cohesive and communal. Examples of these are many modern day Asian countries (for example, Korea) and also Nordic countries.

America on the other hand has a massive issue with social cohesion from how the media portrays it. A lot of the racism that we hear about tends to be imported, so to speak, from America, where their historical grievances feel more valid. So I am wondering, do you think the lack of social cohesion due to massive ethnic and cultural differences due to how America was founded could have birthed the individualistically minded capitalism that focuses on personal wealth above all else? A lack of interest in one's neighbour, due to less social cohesion, could, in my mind, realistically birth such a philosophy. :choppawhat:

As mentioned before, my understanding of American culture is murky, so this is just something that formed in my head as result of my conversation with @Toby D. Dog.

scammers should be given right to scam people and pay taxes, its vicitms fault there were stupid
You know, Zolo, I gotta disagree this time. The reason why is because that is a facet of a low-trust society, which is, in my opinion, dangerous for the human condition. Old Soviet states and modern day China are examples of such countries. We need to at least have the illusion of trust in our neighbours or communities. The alternative is a society of people who are isolated, who are paranoid of their fellow man or woman, and then betray them or do not help them in need.

Rare Zolo L. ;)

retarted are only those who got scammed
Retarded? Maybe.

But living in a way where you are only taking and never giving to the world around you is not one of strength and masculinity, but of weakness and insecurity. It's the job of men to provide for those around them, often or not at great sacrifice to themselves. Men should not prey upon the weak, mentally or physically frail. They should compete.

Strolls in.

"THE EU IS JUST A COVERT PLAN BY GERMANY TO CREATE THE REICH THEY'VE ALWAYS WANTED. FAILING TWICE AT DOMINATION THROUGH WAR, THEY DESIRED IT THROUGH ECONOMIC MIGHT INSTEAD!"

Discuss.

Strolls out.
That's Israel. Want a real conspiracy? The Holocaust did happen. Almost all of the Jews were exterminated. Then the Nazis all moved to Israel and took the names of the dead. No one would ever expect the Reich to come from Israel.
