Now, if you can't understand why illegal immigration is a thing in the first place, or you simply don't care as to why it happens then it's not worth having this conversation. In good faith, I welcome you to read on Latin American immigration, especially those coming from central america, and why those people are fleeing to the united states.
I understand why it is a thing. But I don't agree with it. What I especially don't agree with are those crossing the UK channel every day on little dinghies endangering their lives, calling themselves refugees when they're already in a safe place - France. It might sound cruel, and it probably is, but when all the immigrants are young men of fighting age, their cries for 'Asylum' feel like lies.
Welcoming migrants is acceptable when the country has enough to provide. Mine does not. We do not have the economic strength to house more migrants. Do you know what happens? We put British nationals at the bottom of the housing list. We house migrants in hotels and give them new homes but let our own poor rot on the streets. Go to any major British city and you'll see the poverty. I grew up in that, so it hits very close to my heart.
