Bitch please, you just want the untalented etc to get their participation trophies. Loser mentality.
I would like you to take a second to think about this word you just used.
So, to begin with, what "talent" means ? > To have a "Talent" means to have a natural set of skills. This means that no matter if you work hard or not, if you don't have a "talent", you are by defaut excluded from ever being able to reach your own "glory". In other words, they are people with talent and there are those without it. Or in Nazi words, "there are those who were born superior people and the others"
You see, "Talent" is also what we attribute to people who became Billionnaires.. Talent is what we attribute to great men, great politics, great storytellers.. I myself have made the mistake to call Oda a "talented" writer multiple times.. But we need to realize that "talent" - in fact - does not exist.
> Talent is an outdated manner of seeing success. In reality success does not comes through Talent.
Oh... but you might reply to me.. "so you want to get their participation trophies to those who don't deserve it, those without merit"
And... again.. Same problem. What is "merit" ? Merit relies on the principle that work alone can lead to success. While it might be a LITTLE more true in sport than in the rest of society.. work alone does not equate success. If that was the case, all sportives would get a medal. Nah... The reality of this world is that - again - every person on this planet has different access to different forms of capitals during their development. For example, as mentionned earlier, lower income can often means lower degrees of participation in sportive activities. There are hundreds of example like this one where the capitals of a person plays a role in their chances of success. Work is only the surface. So...
> Merit is ALSO an outdated manner of seeing success.
As you can see Talent and Merit are two very bad method of judging the quelity of the success of a personn from an objective standpoint and those two notions creates inequalities in both sport and in society. Where Wealth and fields are monopolized by very few.
My answer is that we need to change that in the long term, and think about ways to create more equity in the short term.
But go ahead, if you think that I want to get a participation trophee to everyone...
Well you are completely right, that's exactly what I want. Honors should not be reserved to the few.
