Wow, I had never heard Macron speak English, it's bloody awful. I needed to use subtitles to understand wtf he was saying. So basically he didn't correct a thing, he is confirming what Trump said, which is that the EU loaned money to Ukraine and it's getting it back (in frozen Russian assets if I understand correctly?). Although this may very well just be a delusion of his, since no-one gives a shit about these barking European chihuahuas.

Macron is not the macho man type. He would never start a fist fight with anyone. Trump is just acting like a vulture and securing a big score for the US. Standard politician behavior. I thought he was better than this, it seems i was mistaken. The worst of it all is Trump pretending Zelensky can just shake hands with Putler and ensure the safety of Ukraine that way. Everybody that has two eyes can see that Putin is not stopping until he conquers the whole of Ukraine. Ukraine will only be safe once Russia takes and major military L and Ukraine arm themselves to the teeth to ensure they don't get invaded again.

Poland had no chance at stopping nazis in WW2, they still fought. Demanding of Ukrainians to lay down their arms while Putler is in their lands is a cowards move. My take on this mess is that Trump is willing to let Russia take the W in order to guarantee peace in Europe. Very disappointed on how the situation is unfolding.
