The national security is not supposed to be deployed AGAINST the citizens without cause, they’re not protecting anyone by terrorizing regular people who, again, have not actually committed any crimes yet. If anyone in charge really cared about eliminating crime, they wouldn’t be slashing access to and funding for social services and public healthcare like it’ll somehow save them from going to Hell when they finally die…instead, we get our own military turned on us

Imho it's impossible to truly gain an understanding for war and human cruelty is one has Never seen it and we today are lucky to live in a time where we are able to see without having to stand nearby.
Those sheltered westerners living in their post WWII pacifism bubble are missing a vital puzzle piece for their understanding of the.world.
