School SHOULD be free. This is not an option. It's a requisite if we want to start building a more equal society. If we consider education as marchandize, then we are not building anything good.

Is not that simple because there wasn't a full turn on to make schools private. So we had some students with vouchers and charters while the old full public schools lost funding making it not able to improve as before.
It is cheaper to have vouchers than having a public system.

There is no reason to have a force equal society. People are not equal. There are public education all over the world and people still rather paying for private education. If you want to build something good build something that people want, not what you want to force on them.
