Rising political assassinations regardless of which political ideology reflect much deeper issues
You see some celebrating and some mourning - reflection of how much politically fractured society is becoming.
Man with such precision to snipe (professional work no doubt) was able to climb on the roof of one of the building of University campus without being detected at all. Schools and Universities are becoming more of a place to fear than to learn
Erosion of trust in institutions and decline in the quality of civil discourse are never the good signs anyway.

He was a horrible person and he died from the things he kept treating like a joke. Do I condone killing people for simply being a huge asshole but likely never actually committing crimes? No. Do I condone gun violence in general? No.
That doesn't mean I can't say that the way he died was funny and that I don't have sympathy for him. It's not like if I were in the sniper's situation I'd have pulled the trigger too, because I definitely wouldn't.
