Me checking news: "Charlie Kirk assassinated at a University event in Utah" *Sees video of shot right to the jugular*

Me, not knowing who this guy is: "That's horrific, I pray for his family and hope they bring the shooter to justice" *carries on with my day*

Literally my entire timeline when I come back a few hours later:

Bro what did the guy do to make y'all this mad 😭😭😭

Too busy to deep dive and separate fact from bullshit right now, so I figured I’d ask the Politics thread legends for a quick TL;DR. I’ll probably check back in 8–9 hours.
huge right wing celeb that has a ton of bigoted takes and also said things like "gun deaths are necessary to uphold the second amendment" which was kind of funny given how and when he died

eh, indifference is still infinitely better than singing celebration songs about someones death.

and what exactly is "THAT" day?
This is an incredibly callous response to the death of a lawmaker from the soulless dildo:

There’s also this collection of quotes from the ghouls who suckle on Donnie’s voluptuous teats:

I really don’t see a difference between their response to those murders and the handful of people “singing celebration songs” (none of which I’ve seen or heard) over the firebrand puppet, but as usual, conservatives hate getting a taste of their own medicine. In that vein, THAT day should be contextually obvious; I know how you feel about this kind of thing, but trust me, a hell of a lot of people are going to dance in the streets when it happens :smoothieduck:

my favorite german comedian had a catchphrase roughly translating to "every minority has a right to discrimination". and he made fun of everything and everyone.
Ngl though, even this comedian i am mentioning here was extremely disgusted by the online celebration of kirks death, and he isnt conservative in the slightest, neither am i.

I mean, I can find plenty of other examples of right-wing politicians and pundits making light of murdered minorities and registered Democrats if you want, it really doesn’t take a lot of time or effort to demonstrate their utter lack of self-control…sounds like we’re both judging groups of people based on the information we specifically seek out, you might wanna put down that stone while we’re in this glass house.

This is how I see it....

Blame game is going on without anyone owning up for their own actions. Everyone is pointing fingers at others.

Left is blaming right, right is blaming left but thing is both are to be blamed.

You can never clap from one hand.

Both have flamed the fire at their own convenience to suit their agenda.

And, both are willingly carrying the seed of hatred in form of tit for tat.

To me the real problem is blaming groups and not individuals.

and if you are outside of this us vs them bubble and criticize either, the other side will foam from their mouths and get at your throat.

Its not about the singing but the celebration. Kirks statement about stoning gays is making me kinda speechless right now. fucking inhuman. Not even celebrating their deaths, but legit calling for it. I guess the near absolute freedom of speech you guys got is a blessing and a curse at the same fuckin time. i still think people celebrating his death are nutjobs though. him also being one doesnt take that away. but the right wing cancel culture now in response to that is way beyond pathetic, as much of a mask off moment for them. Tough time holding out until the next election. . .

The left can't handle freedom of speech otherwise they will start to have real arguments and logics and they don't.

Not taking side when oppression is perpetuated or promoted is taking side.
you are talking about taking sides with specific situations. im talking about being part of either side generally. Im not american, so i wont ever be a republican or a democrat. Im free to criticize either of them or their supporters for whatever reason. doesnt make me a supporter of the other side, the world isnt black and white my guy.

its very apparent the right cant handle it either with their pathetic cancel culture getting people fired over online remarks about charlie kirk. big pile of pussies that pretend to be strong while being weak as shit
