I’m definitely referring to conservatives, and yeah, I’m further left than mainstream liberals so I have little love for them either…I’m not going to say my side is perfect, but I think some things are objectively morally wrong (murdering someone in cold blood being one of them) and I see a lot more of that behavior coming from the right. Democrats are spineless cowards, vestigial dicks, and ineffective dunces who are only out for themselves; Republicans never stop saying the vilest xenophobic shit to rile up the lowest common denominator and creating nationwide conditions that cripple millions of people spiritually, financially, and monetarily…they may both be fundamentally evil, but one side leans way, WAY more into it than the other.
I remember when Donald Trump entered politics to run for elections in mid 2015, he was largely dismissed as a joke candidate by the mainstream media, left, and celebrities.
Everything about him became a target of ridicule... his hairstyle, his mannerisms, his way of speaking.

You know what was the worst part of this?

His voter base was branded as illiterate, ignorant, uneducated rednecks.
Hillary Clinton called them “basket of deplorables”. Instead of engaging with their concerns, the Left often dismissed these voters as morally deficient or socially backward.
Left through their own insult based rhetoric ridiculed the entire voter base on "daily basis" and marginalised them.
Left has no higher moral ground and they need to come out of delusion that they are better. They aren't because they kept on feeding that hatred themselves.

Right-wing media and online communities retaliated with their own hate filled narratives and hateful speeches and remarks. Trump and his supporters like Charlie Kirk fueled it.
Neither side held higher moral ground: the Left played a role in marginalizing millions of voters, and the Right responded with equally hostile and demeaning narratives.
This cycle of ridicule, resentment, hate, poltical violence, blame game only got worse since 2016 elections.
And, both left and right are responsible for it, and both left and right are more willing to cast blame on others than own up for their own mess.

No new user is running to the politics thread and only posting in it. The vast majority of them likely doesn't even know it exists due to the mods kind of keeping it on the low and most people stumbling upon the forum because it's made for something they're interested in (anime and manga are actually possibly more popular then ever before now, so the medium's had an increase in fans)
