There is no left in america. A far-leftist being elected in one of the major city would be a major anomaly, even for such a progressive city. And the fact that our current soc-dems in France are actively endorsing him while far leftists have been vocal to raise concern is kind of a clue that this guy is no more radical than Sanders, which means not radical at all and not the left that the US really needs.
