idk

pretty much every religion undermines every other religion

that's the whole point of religion

"We are right and you all are wrong"

I'd rather blax post here and get challenged on his views than he spam everywhere else
I don't mind religious talks.

I am all in for religious warfare :hihihi:

But phrasing matters. Calling all other religions as false or only Jesus can save you is not the right thing to say regardless of where you are.

Ok but does any other religion tell people how to know where they're going when they die?

both

yes by birth but I don't really believe in religion anymo9re

all good but keep it to yourself
What about if I talk about it in the religion thread?

AL sama

Red Haired
how about keeping your religion to yourself and not spamming it in a weeb forum?

Like I don't go around posting in religious people's pages or threads telling them their religion stinks.
exactly

he spams everywhere either way so I m telling him to stopp

I gotta consider how others might feel

If you believe the earth is around 4-6 thousand years old then yeah, it makes sense to believe the narrative than the bible was written by moses 3000 years ago.

Historians on the other hand believe the bible has multiple authors, and the earliest books were written at the latest in 900-800 BCE

The Bible says it has multiple authors, and the consensus is that it began to be written between 1440 and 1400 BC by Moses

Consensus of who? Biblical scholars don't think of Moses as the literal author

https://www.christianpublishers.org/post/did-moses-write-the-first-five-books-of-the-bible

Reading this stuff though it's ridiculous what brainrot liberal scholars propose:

"Moreover, these scholars suggest that the language and theological context of Deuteronomy, particularly chapters 12–18, indicate that these texts were written long after Moses’ death. According to them, by the time Jesus lived in the first century C.E., the belief that Moses authored the first five books of the Bible had become widely accepted, even though it was based on a misunderstanding. They contend that Jesus, the Son of God, was also misled by this tradition and, as a result, perpetuated it when he referred to “the book of Moses” (Mark 12:26), a title that included Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. "

yes many do including Isla,
I looked into it recently and I heard Islam doesn't tell people where they go when they die

I heard the Quran says that when a a devout muslim died, someone close to him said they were happy that that person was now with Allah, and then Muhammad said you can't know if that person is in heaven, and that not even he himself knows what Allah will do with him

So Muhammad himself claimed not even he knew if he was going to heaven

Is saying other religions don't tell people where they go when they die, undermining and downplaying them?
I think it's ignorant as iirc a lot of them DO tell people where they go when they die.
But in the end, and let's be honest here, nobody on this earth actually knows for certain where we go when we die. A lot of people have theories, and some of them are admittedly good, but we still have no real idea on where we go when we die.
Again, I personally believe that there's a 50% chance we go to some type of afterlife/linger as a ghost, and a 50% chance we just cease to exist (or cease to be conscious, if that makes sense?), but I'm not going around here calling everyone else morons for having their own personal ideas on what happens after death like reincarnation, heaven or hell, becoming an angel, etc.
And at the end of the day, the more you constantly press people on whether or not their religion is REALLY valid (especially and specifically when nobody really initiates these conversations), the more you risk just being ignored and seen as an overly religious zealot.
